Nice video and explanation. I had the same issue when I came across your video. The AC button was not showing "on" on the tester. However, I started the self-diagnosis on the head unit, and it fixed the problem. It might be worth a try before you change the head unit. So, if somebody has this problem, try turning the ignition to position II, holding the off button, and then pressing the defroster button five times.
Awesome video , thank you so much. Quick question. My accord 2004 ac doesn't work, the compressor clicks and engages the clutch when I supply it with power but when I run the car it doesn't work
Hi..couple of weeks ago when I tried to adjust my mirrors in my 2013 civic..I noticed suddenly I lost power on the mirrors and the climate control panel(no lights in the control panel and can’t operate any AC knobs)..fans and the compressor is also not working..what could it be?
Hi, I just have a quick question please if you change the high-pressure switch do you need to drain all the freon out of the system or will it shut off itself thanks.
Have a 09 accord and the AC stops working if I use max AC. Otherwise it works fine. But once you use max AC, the normal function will also no longer work until the car it turned off for a while
quick question. my AC air comes out and i can control the temp of it just fine. the issue is that the air will literally not stop coming out unless the car is off. even if my ac switch is set to off. any ideas? thanks!
This is a horrible video on how to troubleshoot and fix an AC failure, regardless of vehicle make or model. Assuming the AC system does not lose freon, the majority of the AC compressor not running is two things: the AC compressor relay and the AC clutch fuse/relay. If either one of these are bad, the AC compressor will not run, and they are the easiest to find, they are in the fuse box under the hood. The AC compressor and AC clutch fuse can be easily tested to determine if power are sent to the AC compressor or clutch. If the power are sent to the AC compressor and it still does not run, it is likely a bad compressor and it can also easily checked if it is seized. There is no point of checking for the pressure switch or the power terminal at the compressor if it is already dead. The proper order for diagnosing AC system is really, AC compressor relay, AC clutch fuse, the freon level, the compressor itself, and the pressure switch.
But in reality , you don’t assume things or that the ac system does have Freon. You must check every possible cause. Hey you do you sir. Thank you for advice
