Dude thank you soooo much! This same exact thing happened to my 08 Accord. The shop wanted $2k to replace the AC compressor without to even bother checking the relay. Fuse was fine. I found your video and swapped the relay with horn. Horn died and AC worked again!

I had some corrosion on one of the 7.5 AMP fuse terminals. Put a new fuse in and works like new. You just saved me $1,300!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Second time you’ve saved me money!! A/C was not working in my wife’s 09 Accord. Watched this video and and swapped the relays, it came on. Bought a new relay and now it’s like ice!! If I was closer I’d bring you a 12 pack!! Thanks again!

Thank you, brother! I just called out a mechanic this morning that charged me for recharging my system and then telling me it would be a $900 compressor replacement. It was the relay! I couldnt believe they didnt check it. I put the old one in the horn slot and NO HORN, but I do have A/C!!

Thank you. I have limited knowledge of fixing cars. I have a 2010 Accord and the AC abruptly stopped working, always worked phenomenally and the car is in great condition with low mileage. It was in fact that relay switch. You saved me a HUGE headache in the middle of a heatwave. I can not thank you enough. 😊 Cost me all of $8.99 to fix.

A/C on my 2008 Accord quit working. Purchased an A/C recharge kit and the meter indicated that I needed to see a mechanic. I found this video and in just a few minutes the problem was solved! Thanks for the clear and concise video. My reply took longer to write than your video. I can't imagine what a mechanic would have charged!!!

Nice I’m glad u found my video I just had car last week they recharged customers ac with cans it takes less than 1 lb they added 3lb. All it was ac relay but too late. Compressor died from over load and engine wanted to stall when putting ac customer stated it was jammed packed

Thanks for the video. I swapped the AC and horn relays and the AC compressor started up. Then I checked the refrigerant level and added a little bit because the gauge said it was low. Now it works better than ever.

Thank you!!! I was about to schedule an appointment with my dealership. I was expecting a lot of money out of pocket for new AC component because my compressor wasn't turning on. I did replace the fuse even though my ohm meter showed the fuse was good. I swapped the relays and checked the AC, and it was working great again. My horn still works, so I guess it is possible that the fuse had corrosion at the contact points. I am going to order a new relay to get everything back to normal.

Yeah or some times the relay starts to work from movement some time I put ac on and tap on relay it clicks right on but. Good job!!

Less than $8.00 for the relay. Thought for sure it was going to be the low pressure switch. Same thing happened a while back and just unplugged and replugged and it started working. Couldn't get it to come back today. Saw your suggestion and the wife is chillin again. TY

Was about to take my girls Accord into the shop. Watched this video. Looked at the little fuse, saw it was good. Took out the relay for the air conditioner, took another random one out and put it in the air conditioner relay port. Mr.Air Compresser now decided to spin :) I emptied the refrigerant months ago in hopes of trying to diagnose the issue. All it was was a stupid relay lol I just gotta recharge the air conditioner now. Thanks for your help!

Yeah but that random relay maybe goes to somthing important but good fix!! Make sure u put that relay back and put in new relay for the ac compressor and by the way when u recharge the system do vaccum with ac machine even if u got to pay the mechanic shop but it’s best vaced and recharged with ac machine that way correct amount r134 is added

Youdaman! $11.53 including tax and my 2010 Accord AC is working again. Even more important, my windshield defogger now works. Summertime AC is comfort (and here is Louisiana, that's almost a necessity) but visibility in any season is safety. Thanks!

Or bypass relay using a jumping wire before spending money to replace a working relay. There are so many repair videos from RU-vidrs who do not know they are talking about, but still want clicks. Shame on them. But this channel is definite not one them . Highly recommended.

Thank you for this video, you've gained a subscriber sir! I checked the fuse under the driver's side dash and the 7.5 amp under the hood and they were good, didn't realize there was also a relay. I was prepared to have to pay Honda to figure out what was going on. Oddly enough, I swapped the relay with the horn, the ac compressor finally engaged and blows cold air but the horn still worked with the ac relay in it's place.

Some mechanics are serious F'd up and bypass these simple checks. Then charge you 1000's to fix something that wasn't even broken. Crazy stuff! thanks for the simple tips. Will get my car fixed for sure and on my own. Damn dealerships charge way to much as well.

Swapped the two relays AC is working greatand the Horn is still working with the swapped fuse .. I don't understand how the horn is working if it was the same fuse that wasn't allowing the AC to work properly.. Either way thanks a ton brother.. two days without AC sucked..

Thank you! This just saved us a huge headache. I switched the AC and Horn relays and the AC started working again. Now, what relay do I need to buy to replace it? Any recommendations for brand/type? And, are they interchangeable. In other words, can I keep the horn relay in the AC slot and just replace the horn relay?

Yup they r interchangeable you can buy original from dealer just let them know u need ac compressor magnetic clutch relay

Great video 🔥 however in my case both fuse and relay seems to be ok. The AC compressor used to turn on only when I set the lowest temp and highest fan speed, but now it seems to to not wrking at all.

@@MohammedAfsalM check to see if ac compressor has power when u out ac on also see if both radiator fans kick on soon as u put ac on

@@RBTheMechanic No, AC compressor doesn't get supply. The magnetic clutch doesn't seem to engage as well. But it does maybe after the car runs for some distance or when I put the AC at lowest temperature. But still it's inconsistent.

Nice job 👍 geat fix!!!! This is common problem on most cars I always check this first usually I just put the ac on and tap on it few times and ac kicks on then replace the relay!!!!!

@@RBTheMechanic i get it! see my problem now is that its blowing a little cooler but that cold.. so not sure if i need an a/c recharge or if i have a leak. i'm really trying everything to prevent myself from going to the dealership since my warranty expired(2008 car)

@@babybronbronauvi well you don’t have to go to dealer u can simply go to you local mechanic and have the system serviced they can recharge the system add dye so if it leaks u will be able to trace it down but I think since it over 10 year it might have lost little Freon over the years and now ur system is low to make cold air

I've got a 2009 accord. The low and high side are equal at 110 psi as I'm charging. The compressor is new, expansion valve new, condenser is new because it was damaged. I cant figure out why it will not take a charge.....the low side won't drop....so the pressures are equal and it won't allow more 134a to go in the low side. Compressor is running.

Help full video but I have a different problem - 2016 Accord. I replaced the condenser,did a vac,and half charged the system and the compressor will not run. It HAS power going to the compressor so the fuse/relay must be good right? So it will not run or suck any more 134a in. I believe it should...... Anything from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
