Lovely video! Based on this and other videos I've watched by you, you post really high quality content and I'm here for it! I'm studying to become a technician right now, and your videos fill the gaps of knowledge my instructors leave me with sometimes. Top notch! Thank you!!!

I thought left to right and vice versa is only applicable for front tires and not rear. good information.
@wayofthewrench
@wayofthewrench 8 месяцев назад
Yup it works for back bearings too, just have to figure out if it's front or back once it's in the air. Or you can use the windows while driving to hear which one is louder. Thanks for the watch!

The noise i have on the rear left is more like a continue noise over 40mph

Yeah they can sound like a constant sound at a constant speed. I'd check for play too. I also have a great video on diagnosing a bad bearing you should check out too. Thanks for the watch!

In your other video u mentioned dont put anti seeze on your lugnut bolts. Is there any dangers ? Can lugnuts come off by themselves ? I put anti seeze on them cause i almost pulled a muscle trying to take off lugnuts. Im curious and want to know.
@wayofthewrench
@wayofthewrench 4 месяца назад
The torque specs are listed for dry lug nuts, if you add anti seize they can loosen due to not being tight enough. I would recommend not to add anti seize and torque to proper specs. Most lug nuts I have issues with is because the last person didn't clean or torque them properly. Hope that helps. Thanks for the watch!

I hear a periodic low pitched noise from the rear wheels at low speed only. By accelarating it disappears...Is that a bearing problem too ?
@wayofthewrench
@wayofthewrench 8 месяцев назад
Hrmm probably not but it could be starting. Usually bearings are a speed dependent issue that gets worse with speed not better. You could try jacking up the car and spinning the wheels to recreate the sound and then search out the cause. A mechanics stethoscope helps a lot here. Good luck and welcome to the channel!

My front wheel doesn't spin quite so freely. Its not hard to move but doesn't just keep spinning that away
@wayofthewrench

Sometimes it's because the brake pads are slightly dragging or it could be that the bearing is getting older. If there is no play or sounds at speed, then you should be ok. thanks for the watch!

Hello, my noise is high pitched squeak sound. Is it possible it comes from wheel bearing?
@ask43242flight
@ask43242flight 10 месяцев назад
Is there a way that I can send you a link that records the noise? RU-vid doesn't allow me to post a link here. Thank you
@wayofthewrench

Try sending it by DM to my instagram
@wayofthewrench

High pitch squeel is probably a brake pad squealer tab rubbing....so pads are needing replaced. This sound would only be when the brake pedal is on and more at lower speeds.

Your video really helps. I convinced me that my issue is NOT a bad bearing. With your great advice, I finally figure it out and the root cause is sticking brake caliper. Thank you and you saved me!
