Is this about the same consistency for dipping with chocolate like cake pops?

I've never compared royal icing to melted candy melts before! I guess this is probably a similar consistency...maybe a little thicker. If you cut the icing with a knife in the bowl, it should fill back in and settle smooth in 5 seconds.
