i got some problems with it. Everytime when i trun off and turn on my pc most of my start up programs just never get started with Windows and every time i done this even i choose the option to start them up with windows its just magicly turn them self off every time i check after restart or turn on my pc. I also reset all of my data all of my Windows files and its still the same i need you guys help.

Quick question, there's this thing called Hotspot Shield. It keeps opening up whenever I open up my computer and I'm not sure if it's a virus or not. I've did all the steps on the video but I couldn't find the app on there for me to make it not open up. Any hints for me to solve this issue?

WTH I was searching for ways to disable how my laptop shows photo displays overtime I open it because I randomly selects images. Just today it selected an aerial view of tropical islands. I am trying to find an solution. I have few programs, that start on boot, some not (enabled to start). I tried "shell:startup", "shell:common startup" and registry entries. Tried reparing Windows with DISM and sfc. Only solution I found is to add new task in Task Scheduler. Anyone has the non Task Scheduler solution? This problem is on my desktop PC, on laptop works normally. Example of non running program is ShareX and qBittorrent. I use Windows 10 pro 20H2 (problem persists from few Windows versions back). I will not refresh/reinstall Windows!

Oh my god thank you. My boyfriend’s laptop has been getting Microsoft Powershell popups when it starts for so long.

This option was missing from my setting menu.... some apps i downloaded from store can’t run on startup. Even enabling it from task manager don’t help. It keep defaulted back to disable.

When I start my computer it ALWAYS starts Windows Edge. This is not on the start up list so how do I turn this off? I want to make Google my default browser and I have no idea how to do it. Thank you.

It would be GALACTICALLY more useful if you went through the apps, types and categories and explained what happens if you do or don't let certain apps start at startup and made useful recommendations.

you missed THE CRITICAL STEP in your video; How to startup your PC without ALL the startup programs. Because there are some programs like Riva Tuner that you can't uninstall while they're running, and if you try to even stop them from the task manager they will keep restarting. And windows doesn't give you an option to force stop a program when trying to uninstall it. So starting your PC up and Windows without ANY of the startup programs is a critical step you skipped over. It's one of the reasons I am searching on youtube how to uninstall start up programs. And when I go to startup programs, in this case, Riva tuner isn't even there in the list of startup apps.

If you're still having programs start after doing this press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC go to the "Start Up" tab (Near the top left), and then look for which program you want to disable, right click the program and then click disable

Hi! So, ive recently tried to get something to mirror my phone on my pc screen so i dont have to open my phone the whole time.. And i saw the 'Phone Link' app, now i stopped using it because i couldnt control my whole phone thrue it, only messages and calls.. But i have in the app AND in taskmanager/startup apps (as in this vid) both turned off on startup but its still showing in the little arrow on the down right side of my screen.. i dont think its having any inpact on there but i'd like to have as less as possible over there so have a good overview of the things i have running. Is there a way to fix this? As i cannot 'Uninstall' this app...

I looked into it & found only base running apps, all are either "not measured" or "no impact". Any more suggestions? It was loading pretty good then yesterday started taking quite a long time & freezes for 20 secs up to 2 mins & is glitching. Thank you for your time & help.

Somehow discord is just TO GOOD for this tutorial because it auto starts up AND it doesn't show up in startup apps.

you can also go to task manager by ctrl + alt + delete -> task manager -> startup tab -> choose the program to disable/enable, right click on it -> enable/disable, Or tapping disable/enable button at bottom right of window.

Theres an app displaying on the autostart menu called "Windows" and it neither has an icon, nor a name from where it is from. Should I disable it or not? Edit: I also realized that I have program 5 times on autostart. Is that normal?

Hi, thanks for your help. I did what you explained and it worked great but now I'm seeing apps that are showing on my computer that look weird to me when the computer starts up. One app is saying not measured and is an app called erwobytacb.opridlec and an app called ekvog which are running and both say not measured….can you tell me if you know what these app are?

thank you there was this guy that hacked me in 2022 and every time i would turn on my pc he would get my passwords and ip address, it was really annoying since i had to change my password every time i turned my pc on. thank you man! /j
