How to disassemble idle speed sensor Toyota Corolla. Years 1990 to 2002 

You Sir have just saved me 400Euro! My corolla was stuck in high idle at 1500rpm after having sat on my porch for too long. I just put some silicon grease on the little piston and idle is back to 600rpm. The whole thing took literally two minutes to fix, thanks to your video. Keep up the good work!

When he says Idle Sensor, he means Idle Control Valve. When he says Cables, he means Hoses.

hi peter, I have the same car model as yours, my prob is that, every time my aircon turned on, the idle drop from 1 rpm to 0.7rpm...is that normal..? supposedly it will remain still to 1 rpm despite of the on and off of the aircon because of IAC..

In my opinion, that's not idle speed sensor but that's idle speed control valve.

Hi Peter . I have an -97 corolla with 4A-Fe engine (1322 cmc) and i have a problem: After the car is starting at 10 seconds its stops. I made the diagnosis with the the wires on E1 an T1e and the check engine blinks 9 times. According with the fault list troublesshooting codes is say that this error is : Vehicle speed sensor signal. Where is located this sensor ? Is this sensor on your video ? idle speed sensor? This can be fix? Many thanks if you can help me with this matter. All the best.

my friend you why you have removed the factory fitted celebrated plate....in order to clean the throttle body all you need is to clean the grunge inside the throttle body...means you should open it from the bottom of it..

hi peter, i have a toyota corolla 97. the problem is : when i put the car on idle(P or N) the rpm goes up between 1300and 1500 rpm, but when i put it at D(drive) the rpm become normal. what is the problem ???? thanks and i hope to hear from you soon.
