These are the basic components to install a TBI, Throttle Body Injection, on your engine. The Binder Planet forum has all the info you need to source the correct parts and wiring diagrams to do the install. The chip programming can seem a bit overwhelming if you've never done this kind of thing before, but I found it to be a fun project! Shout out to ‪@ViceGripGarage‬, the Cadillac V4-6-8 Terminator Broccoli Injection rebuild was insightful!

Note-- I also own a 1965 Plymouth Baracuda that has an added Crate Engine

That is a blast from the past. I remember my first time tuning was with eeproms and needing extras because it was one shot. Then I built a megasquirt 2 unit for the car. I had it setup for dual injectors, water/alch injector, shift w/out lift, MSD digital ignition (6a I think?). I got a 16v head from an older volkswagen, and put it on a newer 2.0L aba gas engine. That block was also the same block as the diesels and the right gas models had oil sprayers under the piston. The head bolted on with ARP headstuds, and I had to get a billet distributor block off that had a gear on the end so the oil pump still got powered. Then I used the distributor spot on the 16v head to run my cam sensor with a block off plate. I got an older AR Research turbo from a dump truck and boy was that fast for back in 2008 lol.

@@RogersABodyGarage back when I made mine, there wasn't a lot of options for stuff. AEV had just gotten into making piggy back systems and the LS was just starting to be popular with tuners. If you truly love to tinker, look into the megasquirt still. At this point you know you have a perfect reference to build off of. If you wanted to change your tune, it takes as long as it does to write it to the chip as it does to the flash in on the MS2 but now I can just start the car. There are lots of configuration options on the MS2, you have to build it for the setup you intend to run. You can modify it easily for future changes and there is a daughter card that you can do and run the extra code like I did. MS3 is a lot more plug and play, I want to use it on a motorcycle project I am working on. I am currently building an ESP32 touchscreen that runs the controls for an on-board infotainment system on my Goldwing. And I have dual 2 channel amps, and a raspberry pi 4 with openelec. I love to build stuff lol. I love it when people take stuff that was never meant to work together and figure out how to make it work right. That is half my job at work is figuring out stuff people say is impossible. I love the detail you went into for the video. Not a lot of car guys are like me and love the software and electronics behind it and I think you did a good job of going over what was needed to accomplish the job. It isn't hard, it just has many step that must be followed in order. 👍👍

Wow! Roger you have impressed us again with your incredible knowledge and abilities. I love your videos and glad that I am slightly behind you with my project car. It gives me a place to go to fire me up for the next phase. However, I think I come from a slightly different place with regard to the 60s Mopars. My interest in the old cars is because they DON"T have computers and sensors. It's what I hate about new vehicles, new appliances, new anything. I had to replace 3 refrigerators in one year due to sensor / computer failure. One week after my warranty ran out on my new Maytag washer and dryer I began losing features which I didn't want and didn't need in the first place. I guess my old age is showing through, but the more I work on the old stuff, the more I appreciate the engineering of the days gone by . . . . ⛽🛻🛵

Thanks! That was over 10 to 15 years ago. If it were today I would have put a carb on it with a Mopar electronic ignition and called it done. We all go through phases in our hobby, many do it with different cars, but I went through several phases on one car over 25 years of owning it.

this is pretty forunate for me, i literally came here to find a diy EFI solution for my 1974 Scout 2, (345, 3speed, 4x4).

THATS AWESOME MAN i was just asking other YTers if i could modify a leftover LS engines efi system to any engine i wanted. just rob the fuel rail, injectors, throttle body , iac, tps temp sensor, o2 sensor etc and make it fir on another intake/engine this way seems even simpler BUT VGG makes it sound like those terminator brockly injectors are not available new parts anymore?

@@brycemcdonald6779 I honestly don’t remember, it was over 12 years ago. It’s an inline pump mounted to the frame of the car putting out the required amount of fuel pressure. That’s all I can tell you.
