@@BRO77TX not sure. I only used it a few times. Reapers built in tuning dropper (pitch shift) works at any tuning. You could just put it in D all the way down to A and see if it sounds better or worse when using the pedal
@@BRO77TXI have the digitech drop pedal. I think the best way to use it is to get your guitar in tune as close as you can to what you want to drop it to. For example if you wanted say drop G you'd tune your guitar to drop A if your strings are heavy enough gauge, then use the pedal to drop 2 semi tones and your in drop G. The more you drop it with the pedal the more tone it looses and starts to sound muddy.
I do actually enjoy this style of video. As I learn more of the technical parts of music from you it gives me things to listen and look for as I enjoy all kinds of music! I would be interested to hear more about your process for creating music too!
your string getting caught on the pickups is too relatable 😂 my high e on my ibanez s series constantly gets caught on the fretboard because of a nick in the wood :’)
Hi man, great video! It helps me a lot, but I can't do the "chops" you do at 04:00 because it goes too fast. Would you have any videos to recommend to learn how to chop?
I honestly learned it by doing a lot of downpicking. A good chop basically consists of a downpick, followed up by half a downpick that doesnt go past the string. Its hard to explain hahaha. I could def do a video on it tho!
Low gain on the amp, overdrive pedal with the distortion turned down to 1, the level to 5 and the tone to max. Also depends on your pickups wether their active or passive. Every guitar sgonna sound differenr
@DjentBeard sweet deal man thank u so much. Wish I could private chat somehow to get some amp setup tips. Have a boss katana that I have no clue how to set up for a decent sound.
I plan on getting an 8 string guitar soon and it’s one I’ve had my eye on for a while, but for ages I’ve been tuned to drop a and just making random noises
