Helpful video. I just have 2 questions. I saw on a nother site a guy that put the can rolled up inside the cylinder instead. Have u tried it and du u think it mathers? The other question is can u fit the fps rings after doing the heat shrink hose?
I tried the can in the cylinder originally and it cause issues with the cocking as the can slid out mid cocking and mid game so refuse to do it now, I've used the videod method for over a year with no issues now :) The FPS rings are tight to the spring guide so they wont fit over the heat shrink, if you get a pack of heat shrink like I have you get hundreds so you can easily cut one off the put the rings on and then reapply
What screws did you upgrade with. and when you say they stripped did the screw strip or the body of the gun threads. did you just take the screws to a harware store and find replacements or is there a set
I had a look on ebay or an online shop I can't remember which and someone was selling a pack of 4 stainless steel replacement screws for them. The hex head of the screws started to wear away on mine as I was removing and replacing all the time when I was setting the fps near to the limit as possible.
Nice video bud! What diameter is your spring guide now including the heat shrink? Also what heat shrink do you have? Finally what you use to shrink it? Wasn’t sure what to use as I don’t have a heat shrink gun
Great Video! 👌🏻😊 But what are you doing if you have to adjust your FPS rings? To you remove the old shrink and will you apply a new one as it changed on height causing by mixing with the FPS rings? Asking because I have a SSG96 with quick spring exchange and have to adjust the FPS very often.

Hi! Can you tell me if you have Can mod or Heat shrink since you test them ? Heat shrink doesn't Peel with the Spring ? Thanks for your help because the ssg10 A3 is very loud !!
Hello I've had success using both, I've stuck with heat shrink, I find if you heat the end that you put down the spring guide and then push it down the spring guide to the bottom it makes it curl up at the end so it sits under the spring when you put the spring over it and it holds it in place so it doesn't move and it keeps it shape really well
Possibly but would end up falling off sooner as there are many points of failure on tape, the glue wearing away, the spring pulling it off, moisture affecting it, etc. It may work but not as well.
This mod will stop the rattle from the spring after shooting, it's one of a series of mods to make it when you shoot that there is a single "pop" when you shoot instead of a bang followed by a rattle. It also assists in the bolt pull slightly as it keeps the spring from moving around the spring guide which can cause it to sometimes cock back awkwardly causing damage to the piston as it comes back on an angle.
