Hey guys in this video I show how to do a compression and coolant pressure check on the Boosted Miata.
When doing the compression make sure the engine is warm. Remove all the plugs and use a compression tester gauge. I like to use a hard line and face the gauge to the driver seat. Press the throttle in all the way to cut fuel then crank the engine until the gauge stops, then let it go a couple more cranks. Record you pressures.

The coolant pressure test is pretty straight forward. You can borrow a tester kit from Oreilly's or your favorite chain store. If you can also get them from Amazon - this is a good kit:
