It look like a natural look that is what I'm looking for in a curl. You did amazingly well. It's definitely not the dripping wet look curl. I give you your video thumbs up number one from all I seen yours is the best.
So is rearranger to Jheri curls like relaxer is to permed hair? Is it like relaxer with no lye? I’m genuinely curious because I know nothing about the process and what the Jheri curl products’ purposes are for.
My grandmother used to make her own curl activator. I swear it would have hair growth down your back. Her and her beautician best friend took that recipe to the grave😢
@@angelaw108 what? Banned? That is not true at all! Jheri Redding is a white man that invented the curly perm. It's called a Jheri curl whether white or black people wear it. It doesn't matter what you moisturize it with. It doesn't have to be greasy like people think.
Now I know how they do jerry curls I didn’t know they used chemicals to do it with like relaxers also they use chemicals for that her hair looks great 👍
@Relaxer Queen, really nice job. My thing is this, I want what was described to me as "soft curls" with this process. Seems it all had to do with what size roller one used. I remember back in the day when I had this done, one time when I had this done, I stepped into the shower and the steam made the curls bigger like a roller set only, yay no rollers!! Now, I'm 73yrs old - hair has always be soft and very fine, so the curling iron curls only would last for a bit of the day, my hair always stayed longer in curls when I'd relaxed my hair and then did a roller set, so, I'm wondering, relax & roller set vs trying the jeri curl using larger rods? This would be myself doing it either way ~ I'm aware your not telling me what to do, just helping me to figure out how to get larger curls then the results of what you achieved in this video; I must say, her hair reminds me of mine ( hers is healthier looking) : ) I do not have any chemicals in my hair, so it''s frizzy "straightish" seems only way I can describe it in writing. Anyway, hope you can help/guide me..I've been pin curling my hair it seems forever...I'm a beauty school drop out though wanted to be a colorist. Hiiiiiii Relaxer Queen I love love this video, thanks for uploading it. I got a question though what happen when you overlap the demarcation during a retouch? Does it thins out the hair overtime? My mom recommended I go the Jheri curl which I am glad I did, but I have been dreading the retouch, I would prefer a voluminous Jheri curl to the light version I see on the elders. Ps. ok Im trying to gte my jherri curl done by my cousin on my dads side. And my dad has had jherri curls in the past he had jherri curls for years and he wanted me to get mine done. But my dad and people he has asked who knows about jherri curls and does them has said its safe but my mom is really worried and concerned and thinks its dangerous. Do you know if the jherri curl process is safe at least the newer age of jherri curls. I also have eczema which is something idk if its bad for jherri curl but can someone tell me please thank you

End papers allow you to wrap the hair smoothly around the rod to create a uniform curl. The end paper also absorbs the neutralizer to allow for complete saturation.

I couldn’t say that because there are 2 different products used when the hair is set 1 is the rearranger 2 is the neutralizer. I wouldn’t not want to tell you anything wrong without knowing exactly what you are talking about. @MsAngie2.0
