Yeahh awe she’s so cute. I genuinely find it the cutest thing when people are happy about the thing they’re doing, it’s such a honest and wholesome reaction ☺️
@@IcyWerewolf-kf8kz If it's thicker, it doesn't matter, it will still straighten. Make sure your flat-iron gets very hot, and use smaller sections of hair. It just might take a little longer. Practice and you'll get the hang of it. Good luck.
It’s called a Flat Twist…a French Twist is you grabbing the hair and just twisting it without grabbing any pieces. But if you do a FLAT TWIST all the way around your head it’s called a Halo Twist/Braid💕👑
Okay this just confused me…. So a French braid is when you grab more hair little by little and braid… but a French twist is just.. twisting? Without grabbing more?? How does that make any sense?!? I’m not saying you’re wrong. But that’s really confusing 0.o
@@poppy7599 right. A French twist is an elegant updo style in which you twist all of your hair into a horizontal roll.. I’ve also heard it be called a French roll. A flat twist is what the lady is demonstrating in the video. As a Black woman, I use flat twists constantly for styling or prepping my hair for a curly twist out! There’s several videos of both flat twists and French twists here on RU-vid so you can visualize it better. ♥️
@@poppy7599 a French Twist is similar to a French Roll. Maybe I should’ve compared the two. You’re just literally twisting the hair. A Flat Twist is you grabbing strands like a two strand twist except it’s FLAT against the scalp. Better explanation maybe? If not you may have to Google…
Thumbs up this one and thumbs down the ones you done like! Or click the three dots and request the channel not be recommended if you don’t like their type of videos and eventually you’ll have a nicely curated feed!
It’s called a french twist, so you call it a princess braid, because it looks like Elsa, the QUEEEEEEN of the land of snow & ice! Makes perfect sense! Gotta try as I’m growing my hair out too, about 35 inches at the moment.
Needed to redo my hair before bed anyways and stumbled across this video. It's really quick and easy to do, I wish I knew this sooner cuz it's so quick and it's really cute! Thank you some much🥺 ❤
I would call the entire hairstyle a [French] rope twist braid, honestly (although this can be confused with the style in which you still end in a twist, as opposed to a braid). It’s a combination of a [French] rope [twist] braid (or flat twist) across your head and a braid at the end, so ya, rope twist braid lol. I omit the “French” because a French twist and a French braid are different from these and that caused confusion for me.
Been growing out my hair for a few years now, it’s almost down to my bellybutton. I always braid my hair when I sleep so I don’t damage it as much, but this look is just to pretty to only sleep in! Gonna do it for a day look, thanks for the inspiration. Love your videos 🖤 #Longhairgang
@@maysonmcandrew8949 Ooh nooo! I have done that same, it’s that effing bleaching.. I’m a natural ashy kinda blonde (it’s a secret so don’t tell anyone) and died my hair black for the first time when I was 11 or something. And my mom flipped! So had orange hair for like 2 days, then to the salon and made it a medium brown. But I dye it black again.. Have it for a few years and decide I want it in silver/magenta! So I got some boxes of bleach dye and also silver shampoo to get rid off the orange/yellow tones. Used 3 boxes of bleach in ONE DAY.. Very bad decision on my part! I got rubber hair, had to cut off so much, like to my collarbones from having it “covering my boobies” long before the bleaching process.. This is a few years ago, before I started growing it out and taking more care of it. But now my hair is as healthy as ever! And thinking about doing an ombré! Black with dark green or dark purple/blue ends. And need to cut the ends anyway, so why not do an ombré to! Or maybe 2 blonde stripes, one on each side 🤔 Don’t have a middle part hairstyle tho, got a side part. But I think it would look pretty cool! Don’t give up hope! Take good care of you hair, look for products that works for you and your hair. And if you wanna grow it out a little faster, I learned this little hack! Wear a beanie as much as you can when it’s cold (not in the summer obviously, don’t want you to suffer from a heatstroke or something) cuz it warms up your head and helps with stimulating the hair and make it grow a little bit faster. I’m a beanie girl almost until it really is to hot for it, and my hair is growing. I have to touch up my roots more often. And in a month, it had grown like 1 1/2 cm which I think is around half an inch. So try that! And protect your hair when you sleep and when brushing it! Super important. Good luck to you on you journey to long and healthy hair! 😊
oh I’m finally part of the long hair gang! For the first time in my life, I have long hair. It’s about to my elbows. I love sweeping it up in a messy bun or doing fun braids or curling it… So many things to do! I’m definitely going to try this Princess braid.
@@noodlepoodlegirl Welcome to the gang haha! Happy to have you. And I agree, there is so much fun things you can do with your hair when it’s that long. I tried this Princess braid and I really like how it turned out. Easy to do, quick and simple but yet so stylish. Absolutely think you should try it, I bet you will look amazing in it babes!
I cut my hair short to my chin when I first started Uni and here I am, finishing my master's degree five years later and my straight hair had to be cut a couple inches because it was dangerously close to the toilet when I went XD. Best advice I can give is: try to don't pull it when you do hairstyles (I leave it completely free the night and day after a shower), don't wash it obsessively if you're not going to hydrate it with masks (I dropped half my hair products during quarantine and it's a little gross at the beginning, but now that I don't wash it with aggressive products every day my scalp produces way less oils and my hair stays clean by itself for 4 days straight! Pretty comfortable, especially when I braid it on day 3 so it's not noticeable that it's slightly dirty) and you can definitely avoid braiding it when you sleep if you spread it on the pillow away from your face (sadly only works if you don't toss and turn a lot). Good luck everyone with your hair! Keep it healthy and luscious!
I'm almost 65 (!), & haven't gotten a haircut, since before the beginning of the pandemic! My hair's graying, so a braid looks really cool, because of the streaky effect it has. It's close to waist-long now, so I am definitely going to attempt this. I think it's going to be my go-to style, from now on. SO pretty❣ 🥰
I have actually done this before but yours looks soo much better than mine ! I also did it in a bun ! So you do the French twist at the Top and then you go into a side bun and it looks so cute !
Yes!! I've been doing this for about a year now and was never sure if it was a thing or not, so happy to see someone else do it I'm the type who's not really brave enough to do something unless others are 😕
Love this! I would flat twist, then braid my hair, rather than French-braid it, the full length. So much easier and just as lovely. I've been tucking the braids through the bottom section of the opposite twist and bringing them together to make a "figure-8" bun, for work. (Center part for 2 braids.) Keeps me from getting "scrub cap hair," at the end of my shift.
omg that was the EASIEST tutorial to understand ever! Thank you so so much bc I am always looking for new ways to wear my hair, I love braids but Im horrible at doing hair and other tutorials out there are more complicated. I get SO annoyed and give up every time. I just did this on my own head in 1 minute the first time!! I love this so much. thank you thank you thank you!!!
BEAUTIFUL ! ❤️ Daughter and Granddaughter likes to style her hair For sure I will shair your video. Thanks 👌 😊 You are very Charming Make Your Happiness 😊 65 still alive 💕
This was literally my everyday hair style for 10 years as a stay at home mom. It got my hair out of the way and was an easy way to look put together when you have no time for yourself. 10/10 can recommend
Okay, I might sound annoying, but this is technically a queen braid because Elsa's a queen- or maybe it's a spirit braid cuz shes a spirit now and lives in the forest 😂
