Oh Becca...I wish I would have known about this video before I made an embossed card for my niece. I really struggled with the handwriting and the card turned out just “ok”. Everything in your videos make so much sense and will be a huge help going forward. I hope to do your calligraphy class in the future, thank you for great tutorials!

Ah, this answered a question of mine: how do you handle letters where you have an up and down stroke on the same line? (for ex: on the 'y') So apparently you thicken that line. Thank you for the great videos!

I am one of your many fans! Could you tell me if it makes a difference in faux calligraphy which side (left or right) to make the downstroke wider? Sometimes I widen different sides in a word. I’m not sure which is the correct way. Thanks so much! Cb

Hey, I'm a recent subscriber and I've really been enjoying your videos. Quick question. I'm using robotics to apply ink and I'm exploring using a brush since it's easy to press down and get thicker lines. It works okay as you can see in this experiment I did today: instagram.com/p/BxvPlAVlZrt/? Can you think of some other options? Is there a type of marker that gets thicker as you press down? Or some other way of righting that might be fun to try with the robot?

I think you "show" us nicely but you could add advice like......for instance you said most people have trouble with the oval. How about telling us "what most people have trouble with". Like, how do you change your pen angle to change from wide to thin lines? or is tit an angle change at all? Why is it so tricky? Especially the underturn …. how do you "back off" to do the thin line when you are at the bottom of the downstroke? Is there a video where you do more of that? What is the title please?
