help. i have camera drone (KY601S QUADCOPTER) and i want to connect to my pc so i can do video call. how should i do www.amazon.com/TANGON-KY601S-Quadcopter-Foldable-Beginners/dp/B07L1L4TCW
Hey Gal! After watching your video I ordered an ROTG01 unit. I have win10 on an asus ux305c, and first i could not even get the decive recognised sadly. After reading the comments it turned out that most of the lame chinese power cables aint no good for data transmission, and picking a better quality cable just fixed the problem! So for All of You, who having issues like mine, just try more cables, i tried 3 and none of them worked. After that i looked up for an original Sony xperia data cable, and IT JUST WORKS WELL! Dont give up, guys! And thanks for the video, keep up the good work!
MeTronix TH there is no driver needed if you have a suitable usb-b cable! VLC media player should automatically recognise the device when starting a stream
The Eachine ROTG01works just fine also with a Mac, it got recognized as USB 2.0 camera and you can use it as any other cam connected to a Mac, for example with quicktime.
Wow, bought a skydrone receiver and could not find one app that would work with it, phone or otherwise, until I found this video, thank you, I thought I had wasted my money.
@@Ndriana For posterity, I can confirm I was able to get the Eachine ROTG01 Pro receiver working on Mac (Ventura 13.4). I connected the receiver to my computer via the micro USBUSB-C cable that was included in the package. The receiver appears as a camera/video source named "USB2.0 PC CAMERA". I'm able to select the ROTG01 as the video source in the following apps: - built-in Photo Booth app (under the "Camera" menu in the menubar - built-in Quicktime Player app (start new "Movie Recording", then click the "v" caret next to the record button to get options for camera, mic, etc) - the Google Meet web app (settings -> camera)
Thank you! So easy to setup. I can now record with flights using Corel VideoStudio on my PC. I can't believe the difference from using my DVR. Crisper, clear video, so far with better reception than my DVRs or goggles.
Thank you so much dear Gal Kremer :) can you please tell me if you notice any difference between the quality of the cheap and middle price one ??? about latency and video quality please ?? i saw your great test comparing 3 otg receiver but dont see this eachine Eachine ROTG01. Please tell me if is any difference of quality of latency
+Fraizer Hey there. In my humble opinion - there is not much of a differennce between all these devices in terms of video quality and latency. The ROTG01 is a solid choice and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Thank you, but if you must choose one who is little better in latency and video quality ? (dosent matter the price). i see in different review this Eachine ROTG01 have 100 latency when the 3 others you tested had arround 51-48. i saw you test this one but not in the same condition system than the other. there prices are ridiculous then your nice advice will make me choose the best one ^^
Sir is this receiver ROTG01 range good ND I am planning to buy Eachine TX03 . Will these both ROTG01 and TX03 provide me good 300-400m range with good clarity . I am buying it for bugs 2c drone ....plz suggest
Hey quick question, I'm not sure what's happening since it's only showing a blank screen on my laptop but it works properly whenever I connect it to my phone.
Great info here, and thank you for your honesty about 80ms delay. I almost made my purchase of usb-av adapter. I do adrenaline diving and can not afford 80ms delay.
Hi My webcam has 4 wire as you mention in the Video 5V GND D+ D-. I want to connect the webcam to Video Transmitter The Vtx has several ports (Pinput, Pout to camera, GND,Video,Smart audio) Do you where should I connect the D- and D+ wire?
First of all, thank you for the video. I'm preparing a project and making processing codes and I'm using my computer's camera. My question is: Does my computer see this device as an external camera? In my project, I'm taking views from my computer's cam and using OpenCV library in Phyton then executing some processing codes. I mean if I would connect it to my computer, will it work like my computer's cam? Or, do I have to use VLC Player or other media player? If I have to, can I run processing codes with VLC player?
Gal Kremer Thanks for reply. Which kind of drones can work with this receiver? Im planning to use Dji Tello bcs I need a programmable drone but Im not sure that receiver could work with it
Nice job. I particularly appreciate that you tested latency using a digital timer to assure an accurate estimate of this parameter. Could you include a link to the video display software (Debut?) that worked well for you in your text description above? Thanks. Jim
I have same model but I have a problem by screen goes blank(like when vtx on quad is off) for few seconds between the flight. I have rechecked every wiring and will try to connect it with PC and see if same flashing stuff is happening with my PC
Thanks for sharing I could not get it working with VLC, the linked software works a treat...non of my Android devices supported UVC OTG. Now I have FPV on laptop with Win7.....THX Again
I had the same problem with SIII and S2 tablet. I have several Receivers, cameras and Transmitters. Occasionally I could get a picture as it should be but if I moved anything it would disconnect. I decide to switch antennas to a 5.8 Patch antenna and the application and hardware works fine. Apparently my problem was the cheap rubber duck antenna EAchine packed (and others) with this receiver. Hope this helps...
After so many years, the App for android does not work for new Android versions like my Android 12 device. I dit have back then a Android 9 which dit work fine, but they dont update the software, so i dose not work any more. Only can use it on a computer.
I bought ROTG01 after watching the video. Everything works fine, it can pick up the frequency of the FPV camera but there is no display at all. I'm using Turbowing Cyclops Camera. Can you help me with this?
Would add some color correction and filters on it too if you would actually use it on PC. It wouldn't add much latency wise with a decent GPU, but improves the images so much.
Hi, Gal wonder if you can help again, please. I have watched all 5 videos in the series and want to use this receiver on a windows laptop but it does not have a mini USB socket, do I need a special adapter? Have downloaded the capture software already found it useful. Thanks, great stuff.
No - All you need to do is to use a standard USB to micro USB - just make sure it supports data. If you have an Android device with a micro USB port, the cable that came in it's kit will do the trick.
Thanks for your useful video! I have some questions. I'm scheduled to equip split2 runcam in drone. and I want to see the moving picture that is filmed from split2 runcam in PC. According to video, ROTG02 can show the moving picture using PC program like VLC media program, Debut vedio capture software etc.. I wonder if split2 can interconvert to ROTG02 hardware. and I also want to know what is proper TX to match this two hardware. last, what is filename extention that split2 runcam give. is that mov ? or mpeg? If you don't mind, I want to know what TX hardware and camera that constituted in drone are in your video. Thanks a lot!
Gal: Today I received my Eachine ROTG01 VRx receiver. I downloaded the Debutsetup.exe program, but have been unable to get it to display from my ROTG01 on my computer. I found that my AMCap.exe program, downloaded years ago, DOES work, but this program is not very powerful, and does not allow saving videos in MP4 format. Do you have any suggestions? Do you know what the pinouts for the connector on the bottom right side are? Have you found a source for instructions on the ROTG01? Thanks. Jim
Hi James. I am sorry - but I am using a mac, so I don't have another recommendation for you... Maybe someone else can help you with that. Regrading the pinout - the left one is Audio, then Video, 5V and Ground.
Bought similar receiver (150 channels), but it can not find the signal of my 5.8ghz drone - just black screen and showing different frequency numbers when it searching through. What could be a problem? Same result with a smartphone and laptop (Win 10, Camera app). The drone app for smartphone can't connect to the drone too or just crashes when trying too. The drone flies fine with 2.4ghz controller. Seems that for taking pics I need other drone. :(
Hi Gal I have received my transmitters and receivers VTx03 and Rotg01 5.8G my camera is connected to a 5V 2A power bank (or a charger 5V-2A). can I connect my camera and the VTX03 without any problem?
Only if your TV is running Android and supports OTG devices. Otherwise you should consider getting this device: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f-EeZ_hVpaY.html
Hi Gal, so you've been doing these comprehensive test long time ago. great review, it's nice to have especially for monitors and spotters. Btw, your pronunciation in this video is totally different on your latest videos.
Uploader, I need to your help kindly,, I hook up the Eachine ROTGO1 with my laptop thru a regular micro USB cable, that we use in Samsung phone charging or sync cable, bt found no connection. It does not recognize or RX becomes even warm at all. I use WIN-10. I think it has got something to do with OTG cable that I am not using. My laptop has a regular USB port not micro female one. How did u connect it without OTG that comes with the RX? THanks.
HI Gal I believe I made a mistake I connected my VTX03 and GOT G01 5.8 to my laptop and it works, but I get bad picture 640-480 / 30fps I need a transmitter and receiver that can handle 1080P / 60fps do you have a solution for my problem? margoon
Thanks for the post. I have one of these ROTG01 devices on order and I'm planning to use it with my Nexus5 and/or MacBook Pro. As the device is supposed to behave just like a normal USB camera, could you please explain why you said that it doesn't work on Macs?
I just received my ROTG01 and tried it out on my Mac using a standard USB to micro USB cable (the one that came with my new RunCam2). Even without a signal to receive, the Mac had no trouble recognising it. The ROTG01 shows up in the list of cameras under System Report, and I can see the video output using Skype or PhotoBooth. VLC recognises it but won't display the output (yet). Unfortunately, it seems that iMovie doesn't support UVC cameras so I'm still looking for suitable video capture software that will actually work with it. Edit: There is a Mac version of the Debut video capture software that you linked above and that seems to be working just fine. :)
Does anyone know how to connect 2 or more rotg01 or rotg02 's to a pc. I have tried obs in windows 10 and ubuntu linux. I can only ever get one to connect at a time
Uploader, I got all ok according to your settings & this RX that u told us, but why there is no " sound " coming from the propeller ? How can I get sound from the propeller? Pls help me..thanks.
thanks alot, this is very helpfull especialy for my situation, my silly android phone came without OTG and Iv found Rooting to be challenging. So thank you! My Eachine ROTG02 felt unuseabl......i have Goggles but i needed a way to vewe withe frends and family.
thanks for sharing! Just received it ;-) ..Btw... That squeeky doornoise in the background towards the end freaked me out! thought I had visitors here! lolzzz!
Eachine ROTG01 works with my phone but not with my PC. It connects with the PC as a USB 2.0 Camera but does not show anything on VLC or windows 10 camera app. Any ideas why?
@@KremerFPV yes it recognizes it as a USB 2.0 Camera but I dont get any output from it, just a black screen. I have tied it with different computers. I also ordered another one to see if that worked and it didnt.
Hi there! I have tried my Eachine receiver on a Samsung phone using the GoFPV app and it worked perfectly. However, when attaching it with a normal Micro-USB cable to my laptop the device is not detected. I've been looking for a driver but cannot find it. Help pls!!!
Hey. I've plugged it into a third friends laptop that was able to detect the device. Afterward, I plugged it into my laptop again and now it also detects it as USB Camera. I can choose it as camera inside Debut, but it tell me 'Failed to connect to the device' !
No, so far I was only able to see the stream once on an Android phone. I went back to the same phone and this time it did not show the video. So today I sent the receiver back to Amazon. I will try my luck with EasyCap. Thanks for your replies. And good luck with your channel. It's super helpful!
Bloody awesome solution, works out of the box just like you said, thanks buddy, will now be able to put goggle feed onto projectors during indoor airshow!!! :D
+Termi Nation This is the quadcopter's osd. Of course it can be turned off. The otg device itself doesn't add any overlay, except when you are scanning the channels.
Got my Eachine ROTG01 but doesn't work on my cheap phone, it needs to be 'UVC (USB video class) OTG (On-The-Go)' enabled. After a lot of research about rooting your phone and buying a Micro USB OTG to USB 2.0 Connector Adapter nothing worked. The only way to use this receiver is to make sure your phone is 'UVC and OTG' enabled, or buy a phone that is enabled, as I will probably do if I can find a cheap one.
I was able to get it working with VLC media player 2.2.6. Open the program: Click Media in the toolbar then "Open Capture Device" (CTL+c) Make sure Capture Mode is in "DirectShow" Under Device Selection: Video Device Name, Change from DEFAULT to "USB2.0 PC CAMERA" with the drop down menu. Then click "PLAY" at the bottom. Good luck!
Well, eventaually I found that it will give out demodulated video, and that with lower delay on this port, but it won't show it's UI on that video, so to be able to select frequency, you'd need a usb capture (pc or phone) connected. I fidured best use is to connect it to AV in of my 7" FPV screen for flying and use a usb-connected phone to tune.
