Hi there. Fantastic video but I am wondering on the camera in which you use? The TX05 yes? I am wanting to use this set up to mount a camera on my dog and get some FPV footage from a harness on his back. The ROTG02 looks perfect but I am wondering on what camera and battery to pair it with if you have a suggestion please? I'd like good quality images (is 720p possible with this set up) and fairly decent battery life (15-30 minutes maybe but not an issue as can take multiple batteries on a walk), whereas the range isnt really an issue as he wont be wandering far from me. My dog is a Dauschund so fairly small in size so the smaller and better the camera set up would be ideal. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I would like to know if you have done any configuration in the program (vlc) because I bought a eachine rotg02 and connected it to the pc by opening the vlc following the steps indicated in the video and the image is all green with some visible parts but always alternating and never an image that is perceived neither what it shows in the video and when I scan the channels there is a little better, since I thank you if you can help.

thanks, I am learning a lot Am I right in thinking, that the AV5G plug is a "4 pin jst 1.25mm connector" and my question is, what is stopping someone from wiring an AV lead to the Video and Gnd leads, add some power (via the USB lead) and plug the AV lead in to my DJI goggles AV port ? would that work ? not as nice as a fat shark adaptor and analog module, but way cheaper :)

I am using the analog out signal to add diversity to my fatshark attitude V2 goggles through the AV in port. I am curious to see its performance against a diversity module like the Eachine pro58. Do you know if this has been tested?

VLC have lag by default, it can be lower in additional options of capture device settings.

Nice video! I have the ROTG01 but I feel it performs with lower FPS than my goggles look. Do you think latency and FPS are due to the OTG or the computer program?

I assume it’s because of the conversion process. You can use the video out and an external monitor.

Nice review! Just got one of these a few days ago, I'm surprised to see it's actually true diversity! However mine seems like the resolution it receives is waaay lower then what my 600tvl cmos fpv camera outputs.. do you think this is normal for this receiver? Or possibly my camera is out of focus? Can't tell what's going on.

No, it will just output the video that is received by the ROTG02.

The device is quite simple to use. The only problem for me is that the max resolution is 640x480. The regular PAL standard of my camera is 576 horizontal visible lines rather than 480. So we have a 17% loss of resolution...

Hello first, thanks for the video. I want to ask a question. I want to do something like that using these tools. I've got a drone, you know the drone is giving the image to his command. I want to do this, I will connect the receiver to the PC, the drone to the transmitter in its own remote control and drone aerial shooting while I want to record this image on the PC. I want to transfer the image to the PC. Can I do that? I have no chance to interfere with the camera on the drone, because I want to use the features of the drone camera. Can I provide this connection in this way? Thanks.

Yes you can - but you need to use a 5.8ghz video transmission system.

Can this reciever be linked to a bluethooth transmitter to send to my phone goggles for fpv... I would like to have a tracking ground station.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a Bluetooth transmitter included inside, and there is no way to adapt it, since bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth to transmit video yet. You can always cut a hole in your goggles, plug the module into your phone through the hole, and attach the module to the goggles like I have done.

ROTG01 vs ROTG02 I have noticed strange behavior: with ROTG01 I can power up from those external pins, and get analog signal out without any problems to googles or lcd. But with ROTG02, I need to plug my phone _before_ I get signal out, after phone was plugged and it gives AV out I can disconnect phone and video out is working with power from those pins... have anyone and Idea, or workaround how to use ROTG02 without a phone in anytime?

I tested it and it seems to work find - you just won't be able to set the frequency (which can be a big issue).

If tge ROTG1 is not working, the ROTG02 is not going to work as well. I am almost certain that it should work with the Note 8 though.

Sooo.... if I get one of these, I will get a stronger signal on my phone when flying my drone? Does it increase the range of the FPV on my phone. Or, does it also depend on the transmitter inside the drone? Sorry - this is all brand new to me. Thank for sharing the video.

Hi Steven. You need to use this device in order to view the FPV feed transmitted by a 5.8ghz video transmitter. Without it you won't be able to watch it on your phone.

Hi and thanks for the review! My phone ( huawei P8) supports otg but my Rotg01 says there are not uvc drivers and I get black screen on go fpv. Do you know a solution for that?

Hi Nick. Try pressing the Play button - Do you see any devices under the 'Camera' title or it shows "No USB camera found"? Of course make sure that the Rotg01 is connected first to the phone.

Thanks for your support buddy. Banggood has changed their tracking system in the last few days and now it should be registered (it didn't use to in the recent past). It's still under testing, so if you decide to buy the ROTG02 and you are using my link and you purchased it through Banggoods app, it will be great if you can send me your purchase number so I can check if it was registered successfully.

Hey :) So I decided to use the App to see if it works for you. Through your link, I purchased two items. I received an Eachine ROTG02 and the only output I can get from it is a black screen on my Windows 10 laptop. I don’t have another Windows computer to try it on right now, but I feel like it’s defective.

It's from the description from Banggood. I can confirm that it's not a dual antenna module.

Thanks for your video. It's quite informative. I just received mine, and it works fine with Android Pixel XL. However, I can't get my Win10 PC to detect the device. I've tried different ports and cables, but it's never seen by the system. Any thoughts?

Actually, eventually I found a cable that connects and stays connected, but I just get black in any program that sees the webcam. :(

@@KremerFPV It worked on my laptop, but neither of my desktops. All are running win10. I bought a similar but different company's receiver, but non-diversity, and it works on everything. I would still like to get the ROTG02 working, but Eachine has yet to respond to my email. I'll probably die before I hear back from them.

@@wsterlingy Probably a driver issue - I assume that your laptop has a built in camera and your desktop doesn't (the OTG rx is recognised as a web camera).

@@KremerFPV I did everything possible with the driver, short of sending it on an all expenses paid trip. Yes, the laptop has a built in camera, but the desktop computers see it as a web cam. I can select it in any application that uses webcams, such as discord, but when selected, I just get black. Laptop and Android, I get clean video. That said, in all this time of monkeying around, I did "once" get a the video signal on one desktop for a half second. Apparently, the cable can be a problem. I used the one they provided, as well as several of my own and I bought the highest rated USB cable, according to Wirecutter.

I found that when using VLC to capture video from this device, I got MUCH better quality video (less frame locking, sputtering etc.) when L locked DirectShow to 29.97 FPS under NTSC-M. Your mileage may vary.

The lag on vlc is not because the computer is slow. It has to do with vlc. I was running it using vlc on a very powerful windows PC and the same lag was there. When I tried it with NCH debut software(free version on their website) it has not lag whatsoever.

It's important to make sure that the antenna is connected when using a transmitter. On a receiver it won't cause any harm to operate it without one.

This does not have audio :-( I bought it & saw this does not bring audio sound frm the hooked up MIC in the quadcopter. :😩😤😫🤓😠 Dont buy it if u need audio.
