It's less about what you can't do, and more about how can we worship Him? YES!! Love this so much! My husband and I have literally been having this conversation every week all of October, trying to be more intentional with our Sunday worship. I feel like we have gotten hung up on the things we can't do. This was so needed! Lots of things for me to think about! 💕💕
6 years later and I still like saying we "practice Sabbath". It's an work in progress. We don't have it perfect but that's what the grace of God is all about right. There is no condemnation for those who follow the Spirit. (Romans 8:1) I'm glad this topic was beneficial for you.
According to the Bible they depended on the moon to determine the sabbath day. The sabbath day didn’t land on Saturday every time, yet Saturday is a pagan day of the week, back then the word Saturday didn’t exist.
@@coopersviolet9580actually the 7 day cycle has stood the test Of time since the first week of creation. The word Saturday is a pagan word but the 7th day is what mattered. The study of the celestial bodies dating back to the first week of creation actually shows that the 7 day Cycle has remained and although the anti christ “has thought to change times and laws “ no One is able to actually change God’s perfect time piece .

I agree the video was great but Saturday is the day that God rested from creating the world then he hollowed it…it is the only that starts with remember..Saturday is the Lords day ❤

Our Sabbath is on a Friday. We believe Sabbath is a gift, a time for us to be thankful, focus on testing in our creator and enjoy our blessings. We don't believe it's one specific day for everyone.
I’m currently helping my daughter raise her son, he’s only 3 months. I help with diaper changes, feedings & nap time. Are there rules for babies on sabbath. They’re a lot of work!
Sabbath isn't about rules, it's about being thankful and enjoying your blessings. "Sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath." Babies are a lot of work. Do what you can to lighten the load. Paper plates! Prep what you can ahead of time, food, laundry. Try to make the day as relaxing as possible.
The issue i have with this video is that the Sabbath is not our day to choose. God made 6 days but only one day Holy. Please realign your thinking with scriptural accuracy. God Bless friends
It is great that you're family recognizes the Sabbath but It's not that Sabbath can be on any day in Exodus 20 the bible says Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God in it thou shalt not do any work thou nor thy son nor thy daughter thy manservant nor thy maidservant nor thy cattle nor thy stranger that is within thy gates for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth the sea and all that in them is and rested the seventh day wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. That is basically saying that the Sabbath is the seventh day and the seventh day of a week as we know it is on a Saturday and the Lord himself also rested on the Seventh day Sabbath (Saturday). Luke 23:53-56 and in chapter 24:1 you see where the women came to Jesus' tomb to prepare the spices and ointments and because the Sabbath was approaching they rested from what they were doing and it the goes on to say upon the first day of the week (which is a Sunday) early in the morning they went to the tomb bringing the spices which they prepared. In Isaiah 58:13-14 the bible in summary says if thou turn away from doing your own pleasures on my holy day and call the Sabbath a delight and not doing your own ways and finding your own pleasures or speaking your own words. These verses in Isaiah are saying that we should not fulfill our own desires on the Sabbath but do only his will. Our thoughts, words and actions must be solely lead by God yes we should try to accomplish this everyday but especially on the Sabbath. I say all this not out of judgement and I really hope it doesn't come off as such but I say this out of love. We are not perfect people I surely not and we all make mistakes and I pray that by the leading of the holy spirit we will all including myself come to know God's truth and teach it to others. Thank you for your thoughtful response. I tend to lean on Mark 2:27 "Then he said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.'" I don't believe it's a legalist thing but a matter and stature of the heart. I respect that you have done so much research into it and respect your conviction. Thank you for sharing.
