ABOUT SUFI GRINDING: The poor Sufis…. Haha! Don't worry, no-one was harmed in the making of this video! :-) Join me at www.discoveryourdepths.com/newsletter, and check out my Yoga for Freediving online training at www.discoveryou...
Sufi grinding is my favourite yoga warm-up exercise and here I show you how to do it. It helps to soften and relax the whole of the spine, encourages deep, powerful breathing which cleanses the blood, and energises us, and the meditative focus that we use, combined with breath and movement also relaxes us mind, body and spirit. If that weren't enough, it also stimulates the kundalini energy deep in our belly to wake up.
I use this before every single yoga or meditation practice - quite simply it makes me feel great!
ABOUT SARA CAMPBELL : Sara is four-times World Record holding deep freediver, and currently the deepest woman in the world with a dive to 104m on one breath. She is the founder of the Discover Your Depths training philosophy, has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over twelve years and lives in Dahab, Egypt.

CAUTION: As with all of my videos, if you're going in the water, make sure you have a recognised freediving certification first, and NEVER DIVE ALONE. Have fun guys, and keep your training safe and conservative.

In sufi grind are there different areas that are engaged. I mean are there variations of. My head bend forward and whichever side of the clock I starts the rounds my neck goes forward and coming back neck starts turning backwards as soon as I reach the sides so coming back my face is upwards. So is mine thoracic ? Although my whole body moves like you, but my back doesn't slouch like you coming backwards.

Hi, I'm just going through my comments and wanted to reply, possibly too late. If you're still needing help with your freediving or yoga and meditation practice, I offer online coaching and would be happy to help : www.discoveryourdepths.com/distance-coaching. With love

A. Aren't you ashamed of calling an exercise that doesn't resemble any authentic practice within Sufism, nor within the Yogic tradition and calling it "Sufi Grinding"? Particularly when you know a key aspect of Sufism is modesty? Or perhaps you don't know, as evidenced by the title and video. B. The Kundalini "energy" doesn't reside in your abdomen, it's located at the base of the spine. C. If breathing and moving around in circles awakened anyone's Kundalini the world would look very different - starting with you. Please leave these ancient traditions to people with authentic practice and authentic intention to help others (the purpose of both traditions), and stick to deep diving, which you are genuinely good at and can benefit others interested in the same pursuit by.

Leave her alone. It is definitely sufi grinding. This happens in sufi grinding too and kriya yoga too. It's basically good for lower chakras and it does hit the Kundalini to rise. She has written kundalini reside deep in our belly's not abdomen. Also a lot of aasana and kriyas are very similar across all yogic, Buddhism and Sufi practices. Why do you think she should be ashamed of? For a spiritual person there is no difference.

@@pinrayi7909 @shakti7 Sufi grinding is not practiced in any Sufi Tariqat, nor does it appear anywhere by another name in any authentic Tantric, Kriya or other Yogic practice. She should be ashamed of self serving labelling that makes a mockery of actual practice and tradition. Banging the label Sufi or Yogic or Tantric etc. On something which is in fact none of the above doesn't just not make it authentic but insults the traditions a person is appropriating terminology from and spreads disinformation which is harmful to seekers.
