"if you don't have a great boot to the gut then don't even try to do the stunner" Somebody please send Kevin Owen the memo. Watching his little chicken leg kick ruins an otherwise OK stunner
Robby sold it like Shane McMahon does, while Joey's selling reminds me of Kurt Angle's "candlestick" selling motion. Interestingly, Austin cited both as some of the best sellers for the Stunner.
It looks so awesome! Fun fact, i got an old special forces manual from the british, and many of the techniques they show look like pro wredtling techniques(only difference is they really went for the kill) 2 that looked pretty much at home im pro wrestling are what they call the "bronco kick" (basically they jump on someone on rhe ground and stomp with both feet at the same time) and something that i dont remember the name but was a standing rear naked choke jumping to your belly(therefore making the oponent fall backwards) they also only strike with open hands and many throws and chokes look like out of a pro wrestling fight too... The hand to hand part of the book was based on fairbairn system of self defense, wich mixes up japanese jujutsu and chinese boxing... But it really was mostly about hitting people with chairs and throwing them down in a choke to then flying stomp them...
Does it actually hurt to receive one of these? Looks like it would with all the ground impact coming through the stunning person's body through their shoulder, impacting the stunned person's neck.
Nah it's not a working move, austin talks about how you can hurt yourself doing it. He only ever did one stunner outside the ring because it hurt his ass so bad 😆 apparently after that, he only ever did it in the ring
I know The Stunner is one of the greatest finishers in pro-wrestling. And as you know, The Finishers that target the head or face such as Twist Of Fate, RKO, Codebreaker and... can knock the opponent out. But I have a question. Is It good to perform The Stunner on my opponent? I mean, does it hurt that much to knock him out? Thank You.
Your ear, nose and throat. The stunning sensation sends a shock from your jaw to your ear (but sometimes your nose and throat) leaving you in severe pain that does not subside for days. But usually we just "sell" the move and call it a day.
It’s not effective, in real fight ,my ass hurts in the ground. The two effective technique in real fight is a power bomb, and back suplex, . Very effective , and combo it with a choke.
That ring is constructed from flexi beams, planks and foam mat. It offers sufficient ammount of shock absorbion and cushion. From experience i can confirm that it's more safer to land on than judo floor which has even more cushion than this.
