How to do the Vertigo effect / Dolly zoom effect using any drone (DJI) that uses Waypoints. There are other methods but I think this is the easiest.
All my videos are © all rights reserved and are not to be used without my permission. RU-vid/Google will remove any content that has been used without my permission.
All the aerial footage for this channel is filmed using DJI drones with full flight records.
I have all the necessary registrations for the European Union and Spain from their respective authorities, CAA, AESA and EASA
Spain - AESA Registro de Operador.

that's a cool statue to dolly zoom, man... and waypoints is definitely the easiest way to do it.... if I do it manually, it's a mess!!! lol

Thanks again Shaun - I tried this in the garden focusing on my bar (why not?) but was incorrectly ‘zooming in’ to check alignment for waypoint 2. Eventually nailed it👍 Speed/distance back experiments are very relevant as you say to get the best effect … when I got it right, the neighbours house grew three times in size😳

Hiya Shaun as usual very informative, just a slight observation that’s not a criticism try adding a hover for two or three seconds after the recording starts and two or three seconds hover before recording stops it give the drone time to settle before moving off and stopping. Very nice 😀 I remember when you used the Mini 4Pro. You have the sunshine today and I have overcast and drizzle 😂. Have not had the crows or hawks chase the drone but the hummingbirds give it a good hard look and once a bee followed it down to the landing 😅. When Slinky sees a hawk in the backyard tree her tail bushes 🙀😂🐾🐈‍⬛👍🍻

Thank you Chris, pretty lucky here with the weather and the seagulls can be a pain but I've found manly they don't seem to bother much with the bigger drones but I can remember my Mini 4 Pro, they used to swoop at it!!!! Many thanks for watching.

Hey Shaun! I've just joined the Mini 4 Pro army. A question for you - What mode do you need to be in to use the photo zoom?

Hi Kev, good question and at the moment I'm not using my Mini 4 Pro but when using Waypoints, you have to use their Zoom option and slide along to 3X I took this off the DJI site 1. Up to 3x digital zoom is available while taking photos； 2. Recording videos: Up to 3x digital zoom is available while recording video in 4K. Up to 4x digital zoom is available while recording video in FHD (1080p).

thank you for the video. if ONLY they bring waypoints to Mini 3 Pro! dang it DJI! also, i think this effect is very nice for dramatic cinematic scenes but doesn't really work much for landscape etc.

Thank you for your comment - you could buy Dronelink (third party app) as Waypoints will work on the Mini 3 Pro - please check out my videos on Dronelink. You can have some great fun with this.
