I know this is a boring video topic, but trust me, I really needed an updated Windows 10/11 installation tutorial video for all of my new 2023 PC build videos going forward!
Thank you for doing this, I just recently built mine but its a hassle when you don't know which websites you can truly trusted on but seeing how someone actually do it without not cuts. makes my anxiety slightly better when it comes with sketchy sites
I get that. Ive built like 5 pcs and always need a youtube video. Next time you do this you should include stuff like bios drivers and gpu drivers. Will definitely help out beginners. Something like “What to do after building your pc”.
This is crazy! I used to be one of your subs back when I was getting into PC gaming. Yes, I unsubbed at some point, but it's because my interests were going elsewhere. You just popped up in my feed and see that your're still making content. Last I remember, you were kinda taking a break from YT, or at least PC stuff, to focus on body building. And that was the last I remember seeing of you. Glad to see you're still making content AND that you've grown the channel to this amount of subs! Also, diggin the beard!
Love your vids but it would be really useful if you made a video showing how you get lan on no WiFi motherboards and all the drivers cause I'm really confused right now 😃
Lan doesn't need drivers. Just plug the ethernet cable from your PC to your router. It should hook up to your internet as longa s you enter the right password.
I tried to do this with windows 11 but it said "This PC can't run Windows 11". I'm not exactly sure what to do now. I read something saying that maybe TMP 2.0 wasn't enabled, so I was thinking that I would have to install Windows 10, enable it, and then switch to Windows 11. Does that sound right or am I completely off?
i tried to download windows 11 pro onto a brand new flash drive, cleared it just like you did, and for some reason had an error saying there wasnt enough space despite being a 16GB drive with 14.3GB space available. any chance you have a solution for that?
very easy and straightforward! However, is there any difference in the process if I wanna use my storage devices from my old PC? I have two SSDs, and one of them has a windows installation on it, and since my new pc is gonna have new cpu and MOBO imma need to get a new windows installation.
@@ScatterVolt hey there! i tried that and it took me for quite the ride. Did not boot to windows at all. enabling csm made it appear as a boot drive but still didnt boot to windows, which was odd. There were no uefi toggles in my asrock mobo bios. Ended up going thru the process of converting my ssd from mbr to gpt, which also involved trying to fix the recovery partition which mbr2gpt needed to validate (i could have just used bcdedit to bypass but the fact i had no recovery partition was concerning). After all that stuff and backing up data, my ssd finally was in gpt format and then booted up in my new hardware just fine without needing a fresh install!
I don't really get why these keys are cheaper from third party sellers rather than windows and if it might cause an issue later on down the line? anyone got any answers for this?
These are gray market key sites. So while the product keys they sell are usually legitimate, how they were obtained may not be particularly legit. Some of these keys are VLK's (Volume License Keys). They're intended to be used by a company or organization only. They may also be MAK or Multiple Activation Keys. Again, they're only intended to be used inside of that company. They may have been leaked or stolen and sold elsewhere. There are also OEM license which are intended for OEMs or companies who make pre-built PCs and then sell them like HP, Dell and so forth. OEM keys are significantly cheaper than retail keys because they're meant for OEMs to bundle with that computer. They come with the condition that the key only stays with that computer/motherboard.
My laptop is not giving the option to choose my USB... and then I get the message that I need 8gb on my pc :(. Have a USB Fat32 empty ready, But my laptop is low on GBs
I only have a cromebook, nothing that runs windows. it says I can't open the fill to install it because I don't have it on windows. is there a way around it?
Yes you can use a Chromebook, but its a different process. You will need the Chromebook Recovery Utility in addition to the Windows 10/11 ISO file. Plug in the flash drive into your Chromebook. Change the extension of the ISO file to BIN. Then open Chrome and then the Recovery Utility. Click on the gear icon and select "Use local image". Select the W10/11 BIN file. Then select the flash drive you want to restore to and let the tool run. It may take more than 30 minutes to complete. Once it is finished, removed the flash drive from your Chromebook and plug it into your new PC and install Windows as shown in the video.
When I was naming my pc, the signal stopped working and now when i turn on my pc, the display is on and shows the pc booting up, but as soon as it tries to do anything past that, the display stops working and nothing shows up
Didn’t work for me. I have a flash drive that has Windows installed but nothing came up as an option for me to select. So I’m guessing I need a second hard drive sadly
If your SSD/HDD that you want to install windows on isn’t showing up for you, then that either means it’s plugged in incorrectly, missing a power or sata connection, or is defective.
I don’t know if anybody has the problem I’m having, but when I turn the computer on there is no display. I checked the monitor and the hdmi cable. This is my first pic build so I don’t know what I’m looking for. If anyone has ideas on what is happening it’s greatly appreciated
1. Have you tried a display port cable 2. Is there power to your monitor 3. Is your display cable plugged into your graphics card (and not your motherboard)
A lot of these tech channels promote gray market key reseller websites. Their product keys and codes are very cheap because they're gray market. They're typically purchased in other countries where the cost is lower than in the US
Most omnipotent Microsoft won't let you create a USB if your C: drive doesn't have 8GB free space on it.. I wouldn't let me change drive, only said to close the installer and free up space. Once I did that the save to USB option came up... sheesh..
So that’s something with the PC you’re installing windows on. Are you reinstalling windows on an existing pc? If so, that’s why those two separate partitions are showing up. Otherwise you’ll just need to delete them and then you can install windows fresh on a clean drive.
Hey so,if i bought the key from that website,it wont get stopped using after a year or months? Cause i need it for life time,so website to do provide for this AMT but later we get scammed
my friend told me i need a certain windows flash drive? idk if he is right or not because i just have a random 8gb flash drive laying around and i can just delete everything off it and then plug it to the pc right?
He probably mean that you need a flash drive that has the Windows install files. Any flash drive with at least 8 GB of capacity will do. The media creation tool will put the install files from Microsoft on there. Just note that everything will be erased from the flash drive.
I’ve heard from a friend that these cdkey websites are kinda sketchy and that these keys tend to only last about a year or two then they don’t work anymore and become obsolete is that true?… do I have to buy a new product key every time I decide to upgrade or build a new pc?… or is it reusable?… I’m so confused 🤔…. Or should I just buy one from Microsoft?… please help
I dont know why but it doesnt allow me to select my Usb stick when allocating, it just defaults to my pc and says that i need to free up disk space on my system, anyone have a fix for this?
When you say installing windows aren't you at that point just downloading the installation files on to the flash drive?? That is what I have done, so far. You skip then entire startup sequence and jump ahead to install windows. I hope you didn't leave anything out like how to actually get the PC to boot into the bootable USB. Why? I don't like these gaps. I'm having a senior moment because to the gaps! Yikes!!!!
I think I recognize my mistake now, I didn’t use the media installation I just downloaded the two things onto a flash drive. I appreciate you replying, thank you😊
@@vrowed7422 Well the video is on how to make a USB installer through a working PC. But yes, if you buy a pre-made USB installer, it is the same overall purpose as if you make it yourself. The main difference is that when you buy a premade USB flash drive, you're paying for the product key. That's why its expensive.
Boot order should automatically recognize the windows bootable media device in any brand new pc you build, so you shouldn’t have to enter the bios. That’s only a worry if you plan to wipe or erase your current SSD and reinstall windows.
You'll need: Your iMac, Google Chrome, Chromebook Recovery Utility, flash drive, and W10/11 ISO. Once you have everything, plug in the flash drive. Change the extension of the ISO to BIN. Open Chrome and then the Chromebook Recovery Utility.
Click on the gear icon on the top right of the utility and choose "Use local image". Select the BIN file you renamed earlier and then select the flash drive you want to restore to. Click "Continue" and let the tool run. It may take upwards of 30 minutes so be patient. Once the tool is finished you can remove the flash drive from your Mac and then plug it into your new PC to install Windows onto. Follow the install process as normal.
I'm confused. I downloaded it. It automatically saved to my download folder so I copied that to my stick. Then what? I just put my stick on the new computer and it will boot to that stick? Looks like your video is missing many steps.
..so I need whole other computer just to install windows? That makes no sense… this is literally my first computer ever and now I gotta buy another one just for windows? Wow
Not sure why when I did this on my pc an when it’s doing the last load I guess, it got stuck on 50% then use a friends pc plug usb an it had the boot on it . I’m guess it’ll work when I try to make the pc not sure if you confirmed or denied thanks for the help and vid 🫡
