This video will show you how to download the music you have uploaded and saved to RU-vid Music or migrated from the old Google Play. Google Takeout takeout.google.com/
This is by far one of the best instructional videos, I've EVER seen. Instead of useless information to fill time, you get straight to the point with an easy to follow step by step guide. Please make more. Bravo!!!!
Wow, just when I thought I was going to lose all my music of the last 40 years, you come to the rescue with plain talking solutions. Thank you so much.
THANK YOU!!!! I have been wanting to do this for years and you made it so easy. After Google Play went away, I was stuck with tons of music and I find RU-vid Music clunky to work with and sort through. I wanted all my music back now that I have a huge SD card to store it, but couldn't figure out how to re-download my uploads. THANK YOU!!!! I have been wanting to do this for years and you made it so easy.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. I have been stuck between multiple platforms for music (apple, googleplay, youtube) and have been trying to figure out how to get it all in one spot without having to pay multiple subscriptions. This has also helped me to do the same process for photos. Thank you so much.
Yes, like all the other comments; thank you so much! It's obvious that RU-vid is making this difficult to discourage a user from access to his own music.
Dude, thank you so much for making this video. You saved me likely hours of farting around trying to find an explanation. I have ungodly amounts of music that was originally synced from Google Play, and the original drive with it all died spectacularly. I have finally gotten a large network drive for it, and expected to be fiddling around for a lot longer. Thanks again, and I'll check out your other vids.
Thank you for the tip, and thank you, thank you, thank you, for getting right to the point. Google Music was SO MUCH easier for this type of stuff. Again, thanks, and God bless
Thank you so much for this! I deleted all my music on my Harddrive. And I saved it on RU-vid Music. And Thanks to you I can get it back on my Harddrive.
First, this is VERY helpful so thank you. Q: Is there a way to just select certain music files to download without having to grab my entire library. I’ve uploaded so much over the years but want to download only a select handful. Again, thank you in advance. Steve
I'm having an issue where around 1306 songs in my library are missing metadata entirely. I've tried multiple takeouts and its the same songs. Is there any way for me to download these songs with the metadata intact? Or do i have to retag all of them?
Thank you for this! However, I have a question. While in RU-vid Music, when I go to "Uploads," it's listing all of my playlists there rather than just music I've uploaded. I am trying to re-download ONE album I lost when I lost an old hard drive, but this looks like it's trying to download all of the playlists... HUGE amounts of data... Can I somehow manipulate this to getting just that one album?
lol straight to the point but not enough info. What happened after it downloaded? I tried this a few years ago, and I wanna try again. I did the same thing you did but my 3k plus songs had all the track information messed up. Did that happen to you as well ?
Thanks for the tutorial. I've done this, however I've noticed that some tracks are missing after I've downloaded. I can confirm that the tracks exist within my YT music uploads section. Any tips?
I have over 2,000 songs in my 'Liked videos' and none of them are in a playlist. Is there a way I can download them straight from my liked videos, or do I have to put them all in a playlist?
What file format will the exported music be? I typically upload FLAC to RU-vid music so that I can export it to mp3 while still maintaining the same “feel”.
Thank you . What if I wanted to do one song at a time maybe a couple times a week. I'm a singer and collaborate with musicians from all over the world. When I get asked to sing on a collab . I need to download the song so I can pull it into my recording software to reference it while I'm recording it. I hope it's possible. I have nothing but headaches with the crappy youtube mp3 converters. Even if I try to pay for one. It seems they're all bogged down with adds and viruses. They used to work but I get nowhere with them now. I'm screwed without being able to download these songs. I have RU-vid Music. I'll try your method and see if there is an option to do it more than once. Thanks again.
Hi, this worked for me except that it did not export albums, but a huge list of single tracks that I can't untangle. Is there a way to keep albums intact? Thanks.
I thing I did everything you say (I'm french, so may be I got lost in translation somewhere), but it downloaded excel files with the name of my playlist but no songs... Can you tell me what I did wrong, please? I wanted to have the songs on a USB key to listen to it in an old truck when I don't have my cell phone... is that possible?
HELP I don't have the 'uploads' option under the songs section of youtube music. I would really appreciate a solution to this problem if anyone is willing to help! I'm not even sure if I need the uploads section to complete this process. Also if I go through the process, despite not having selected the uploads section , I am still able to make a file from the 'music-library-songs' section and move it to my mp3 player. However I am not able to hear/play any of it. After I go back through the file path, the file says it's a 'csv' file I also have no idea if that means anything. I'll take any help I can get, thanks!
on youtube music go to the library select songs, scroll down a little bit to where it says playlists albums songs, select songs.... then on the second row under library on the left there is an option arrow that will either say uploads or youtube music, select uploads it's right next to the option that says a to z
@@MorganParker0413 the process in this video works...I downloaded all my music it was 103gb it took about 3 hrs but I have all my music in my computer again 😀
I followed exactly what you said and it didn't work for me. I selected only music but I got a bunch of useless things and no music! Really frustrating 😞
Uhhhhh it got my music by just the files and no foldering what so ever. WTH! Plus at 1:14 you are getting your 'Google Voice' and every other thing too. Man I hope whatever I use can make foldering or what not for me.
