Honestly? I think this dude is the most under rated pro of pressure washing. Very throughly described everything to a T and delivered amazing results instead of just talking about it. Dude deserves more subs and more money lol 😂 Keep on rockin big guy
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me! I try to be as detailed as I can and provide information that can be hard to come across online for individuals wanting to learn more about exterior cleaning. If there is ever a video you'd like for us to create, please let me know. I am trying to get a list of recommended videos together. Thank you again for your kind words.
This is thr first detailed videos I've seen after over about 70 videos. I wish I could have seen how the colored hoes are connected to buffer tank and other components. This was great and helpful and detailed
Thank you for watching! Im glad you liked the video! I try to provide as much detail as possible. If I get time, I will try to do another video of the complete setup of this rig. There has been some updates to it as well.
Hey brother. Good video. Run your 1/4" lines thru a 1/2" PVC pipe and the lines won't curl up on you. It will stay on the bottom. Also when you get a chance, add a flow pro to that setup and turn your bypass on and off with a remote. Best investment for downstreaming. I got mine thru Doug Rucker Store.
Hey Jonathan, we use weighted filters for our downstream tubes and yes, the flow pro is a game changer, we had one installed and ended up going out on us and just haven't replaced it lol.
great video! I'm just getting into pressure washing, bought a 4000psi wheeled unit to start for gas station pads, drive thrus, etc. i have 12% SH for houses, to dilute and dawn soap. question: should i xjet for slabs and downstream for houses and wood decks? i have different chemicals for each application of course. just trying to start rigging up for this 4 gpm system until i can afford to build a 8gpm system. thanks!
Thank you, Andrew, for your comment! We don't have experience with X-Jet systems ourselves, so it's essential to conduct thorough research before considering their use. Ensuring that an X-Jet system can deliver at least 3.5% SH concentration for treating flatwork is crucial. Additionally, it's worth noting that mixing bleach with Dawn dish soap can be hazardous, as indicated on the back of the bottle. I highly recommend opting for a safer alternative like Apple Wash detergent, which can be diluted and is likely more cost-effective in the long run. When I first started, I used pump-up sprayers for treating flatwork before investing in a 12-volt soft wash machine for concrete treatment due to budget constraints. If you find out whether an X-Jet system can achieve the desired SH concentration, please let me know. Your insights and experiences are appreciated!
Great video. I am learning a lot about this stuff and going into business for myself. I will be running the same way you are with downstreaming homes. This video really helped shed some light on full start to finish. I will he obviously starting small with a honda 4gpm pressure washer and the northern star softwash setup or something i can even put together cheaper. Any additional information you could or advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep grinding and im looking forward to this new journey..14 yrs in pest control and switching up to this industry. 🙏🤞
This is awesome to hear! Did you work in the pest control industry or did you own a pest control company? As long as you stick with it, be honest to people and become very knowledgeable about the exterior cleaning industry and provide thorough quality services you will go far. One of the biggest things I've learned is you get back what you put in! Wash on brother and welcome to the #washsquad .
WOW.. great video of explaining your setups for down streaming 😀 your jacket cool..question if the windows are on the sun side of the house would you recommend someone near by with a water hose to keep the windows cool while your spraying chemicals
Thank you! That means a lot. The jacket was purchased through www.fin-print.com/ Having another person can help on very hot days. Saying this it is rare that we would have another person keeping windows wet while applying our solutions to the home. If you were to have another person working with you and only have one pressure washing setup, I would recommend having them rub gutters and trim with a soft bristle brush and extension pole to help provide a quicker service. I hope this answered your question?
Thank you @jorgesegoviano4517! This is one thing I try focusing on. Putting information out their that others don't! The tip used in the video is the x-jet adjustable downstream/soft wash nozzle.
Thank you! If there is a video you'd like for us to create, please let me know. We are trying to get a list of videos together that our viewers would like to see.
Given this was a year ago, are you still running the same rig now? I currently work for someone but have been learning more and realizing it's not the quality I would like to put out. This video provided a lot with how the downstream system is actually set up. We use the same trailer and I love how organized yours is. Is that also a hot water set up on the front of the trailer? It seems you have it set up to pretty much do any job thrown your way. Appreciate all the details with the explanations and looking forward to watching more videos!
Thanks for your kind words and for watching! Yes, we are still running this rig. It has had a few upgrades since the release of this video to help with production. You are also correct. That is a heater above the honda engine. If you ever have any other questions please feel free to ask! Welcome to the #washsquad101 wash on!
Hey buddy. You inspired me to start a power washing company. I absolutely love it. My gear is nowhere as nice as yours and I’m dying to not work out of my little van but still very grateful to have started. Just wanted to say thanks for the words of wisdom buddy. 🎉 Joey Baker Chicago
You're welcome! This is great to hear! Congratulations! Always remember it isn't all about how nice your equipment is. When I first started, all that I had was a pump up sprayer and a garden hose. Obtain as much knowledge as you possibly can to help ensure you are providing quality services. Times will be challenging. These challenges are what will determine your success. It always gets worse before it gets better. Never give up and always give 100% no matter what, and you will achieve what it is you want to achieve!
Hey my brother I’m the tall dominican the was talking to you in the power Wash store conventions ✌🏽good video I want to see how you install the proportions
Good question! The lower brick was cleaned but required a different process. This is why I did not include it in this video. You hit the nail on the head! Downstreaming does not provide the proper percentages of SH to treat brick. Either a soft wash machine or pump sprayer would need to be used. I will try to start working on a video going over this. Thank you for your question!
We don't use a jrod nomore as we keep having to switch tips out. Instead, I use the x-jet adjustable soft wash nozzle, and instead of switching tips, we just turn the nozzle. In this video, I accidentally called the ball valve the bypass lol. We used to have an electronic/ remote-controlled ball valve that broke and removed. We now have a new one installed on this rig. They were on back order like a lot of other things when this video was made. We've also updated the pressure and low pressure hose reals to electric hose reels. Hopefully, this answered your question. If not, just let me know. I also want to thank you for watching and supporting the channel!
I have a simpson machine It has a soap valve not sure if its before or after the pump I bought an external downstream valve do you plug off the original valve ??
The soap is your surfacnt and is going to help the sh stick to the surface better and help give you an efficient clean. Not using soap can also cause you to use more sh than you would if you used soap.
Thank you for your question. You may want to check the video out below if your not sure about the difference between pressure washing and soft washing. The down streaming method only works with house washing and some building cleaning. This method can not be used to clean brick, concrete etc. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qHKWI89FICo.html
Hey Michael, the link below is a link to a video I did about our pressure washing apparel! Check it out and let me know if you have any questions! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DvkZaSN8mBE.html
At the moment we do not offer consulations. We are working on online courses but not sure when the program will be completed. If you ever have any questions though feel free to ask at anytime. We try to help out as much as we can.
Here is a link to the nozzle we use for down streaming. windowcleaner.com/pressure-washing-supplies/pressure-washing-injectors/x-jet-m5ds-twist-injection-nozzles?gclid=Cj0KCQjwyYKUBhDJARIsAMj9lkFGVVfeKTDHMHXVmQ2FR-XpsAZ3kmRppbUmDp1CF4Y8_CaZJypULW4aApJlEALw_wcB
What's up Michael, my money is next to nothing? I am just starting and I enjoyed your video bro. Right now I have a 12V pump, two 15 gallons water containers and two pressure washers...i need to get moving and pay some bills. In your opinion, is this a good start to get rolling if I hook it up correctly???
Thanks Reno! Anything is a good start. When I started 15cent Pressure washing all I had was a garden hose and a pump sprayer. I was washing homes better than 3 men crews. Quality results and top tier customer satisfaction will take you far!
@@mrBDeye If we remove the oxidation streaks we are then providing our gutter brightening service. Depending on how bad the streaks are we'd either apply gutter brightening chem and rinse or apply gutter brightening chem scrub and rinse.
Thank you for your input as this can help with future videos. The soap line was moved and fully submerged. Pulling straight SH while house washing will cause you to use more SH than is need. It will also take longer to clean the home.
Down streaming only works well on non porous surfaces. There are chemical injectors that produce a lot higher percentage of sh that can clean other surfaces but we have not used them due to using the soft wash machine.
Great question! The term "downstream" refers to the position of the injector in the pressure washing system, as it is located downstream from the pump.
