nice guide! I can add a better opening thoough: Use mangle -> if (1 cp) -> Use rake -> Use Savage roar -> If (2 CP after magle) -> use Savage roar -> Build 5 CP with Shreds or (Shred + rake) (usually 3 Shres or 2 shreds and rake) -> Rip -> same as you said with Tigers fury + berserk -> continue rotation. This way you get Savage roar at least 1 or 2 shreds earlier -> 1 -2 shreds makes 33% more dmg and 4-5 AA as well => +20-40k dmg more on average every opening rotation. What do you think?
I also don't think Improved Leader of the pack is needed at all. You never go oom even with openworld shifting etc. Only scenarion is pvp or solo dungeons -> the only way you utilize this talent. better put 2/2 Feral swiftness + 1 improved mangle. 100% agree on Feral agression 5/5 althoough I don't usually see people using it this way
i first switched to feral from balance in legion and trying out wotlk private servers on and off, i am shocked how short rip/rake lasts, how shitty the energy regen is and how little opportunity to ferocious bite you get. also solo stuff is awful without shred
All you need in the opener is to use Tiger for the energy gain not for its damage boost. In order to put a 5cp Rip up and start spammin shred with Berskerj, The damage amp from Tiger is worth losing at this point. Same goes for the Rake.
Hey, do you think it is also okay to start the rotation like this: mangle - savage roar - rake - shred - tigers fury - berserk - then at 5 cp rip - at next 5 cp refresh savage roar...? Because with this rotation i have the 33% dmg boost from savage roar at my first rake and shred?
Also I don't think you've mentioned that feral crit cap is 74% chance :) so gemming haste is a good way to not be close to this number which is good(with trinkets proc + idol stack you have significantly more aggi then out of combat but people don't usually pay attention to it) - u don't need a cap
Ok i know this video is old but i have a question. Wouldn't tailoring be more bis than engineering? Cause the cloak enchant gives 400 ap on proc (procrate 20% so it should almost proc immediately as a cat) for 15sec with a 45 sec internal cd which averages to effectively 133AP. Whereas the engineering gloves enchant gives 320 haste for 12 sec with a 1min cd which averages to 64 haste. Also are nitro boots really that impactful as a cat when you already have sprint?
Nitros' are nice on some fights, Tailoring is really good IF IT PROCS AT THE RIGHT TIME You certainly will get value out of tailoring in DBS, tank n spank 100% activity fight no problem, but lets say on LK it procs right before you transition, or right as valkyr grabs you, its a proc and that makes it unreliable, too much for me for sure. Tailoring is defo a worthy pick, just keep in mind you can't control it so well.
I've never played a kitty dps before because I heard they're such a pain in the....you know.....but I was always interested in trying one out. And I just found this video (I know it's like 3 years old lol) and it makes me want to play a kitty even more lol thanks for the short but sweet guide
@@AwbeeX57 thanks for your answer :) on the private Server im on (rising gods) it does not proc omen and they say its because its blizzlike, that it only procs on autoattacks :( maybe you know a source which i can link them as proof?
I can only tell you what I know from Warmane, usually i'll try MMO-champion.com if I need to go down some rabbit hole, Might just be warmane being warmane.
So we never use our stealth openers like ravage? And do we need to squeeze in that faerie fire in the opener between mangle / shred / rake or doesnt it matter that much?
I’m still pretty new to feral but yeah I’m pretty sure you never use stealth openers. And yeah you are supposed to use faerie fire whenever you have a free moment in your rotation if you have all your bleeds and stuff up. In the opener though I think you use faerie fire after you get your first savage roar up.
Am I the only one that will miss powershifting a bit? Obv the overall gameplay is improved with more abilities, a cleave, etc. But I like the dynamic nature of shifting where youre never short of energy, never just sat waiting
will miss powershifting a lot. such action filled rotation perfect for my impatience and adhd. maintaining dots and debuffs seems boring compared to high dmg shred spam :P
How-come no mention of arms warrior debuff being the same as mangle? also, I am wondering if rake maybe not worth it in early gear as long as theres other bleed effects on boss, since shred is doing more dmg?? thanks for tip on barkskin, if that works its good.
Arms isn't something we should consider for ICC raiding, its still fine but thats about it, I geared up extremely quickly on this character aswell, I don't have much idea as to min maxing early stages such as Naxx or Ulduar.
Is it still a thing that you want to use finishers with 4 or 5 combo points? I know at one point critical strikes give 2 cp so you don’t want to risk wasting a cp by going to 5 and so u would just use with 4. Is that a thing in wrath?
You'll want to get Berserk up asap, while the tank is still "stacking" the adds preferably. Then just spam swipe, Faerie Fire, Natures Grasp(yes it can proc Clearcasting(atleast on Warmane.)) Some AoE fights are super short (think some dungeons mobs having 50k hp) in those situations just skip Berserk and spam swipe.
Hi Awbee, i have one question, how do i make those cooldown counters for your abilities like rake, savage roar etc. That is an addon right? Can i have the name of it please?
Combat rogue and Feral are really close in damage output, Feral can burst harder in some situations, Combat can burst harder in other situations. More fun is for sure Feral, it's also much harder though.
Yeah its such a step down from shape shifting for cheesy free energy, oh god an actual DPS rotation the horror i cant just get free energy by spamming cat form anymore :( U'll enjoy it trust me =P
do you think it's a good idea to swap trinkets at 15s pull timer to get a full SR and Rip up before trinkets proc so you can berserk and spam shred with all trinkets procced?
@@Siegmeyer23 you're kidding right I even made a community post about it and everything xD Stickerbrush Symphony, it is also one of my favorite :p take a listen to the entire DKC2 soundtrack if you want it has some good bops.
@@AwbeeX57 Ty sir, `The Very Very Very Strongest` is of course a cool track as well, but yeah I recognized `Stickerbrush Symphony` had those old school SNES vibes but couldn't recall where I'd heard it last. Also I should add you're making great content - you seem to have achieved the right balance of subject matter detail, humour in the script, and then the overall production value and the atmosphere created with the music etc. Good stuff!
On a Dummy that seems fine, Inside of ICC that might be a little low, It depends on your gear setup ofcourse. Make sure you cap hit rating/expertise and then try to push that ARP cap (1400). After that you'll see the DPS fly up :)
Never played Wrath but I'm assuming you could pre-savage roar on a trash pack before a boss, considering your raid knows what they are doing and can go right into a fight.
I watched it but you should always start with Mangle, even if there are 10 ferals in the raid first GCD is Mangle, followed by Savage Roar and Rake, you do not REAPPLY Mangle if there is a bear. No hard feeling or anything, u legit have Feral rotation video for 5min on a dummy on forums for free that you can all learn from.
@@urosdasic8121 yeah I guess you got me there, the damage difference is still too big, if someone else is providing Mangle just be happy he is providing it and don't apply it at the start.
Saying not to ferocious bite under Berserk effect is wrong. That's one of the few times it's acceptable to ferocious bite, since you're generating enough combo points quickly enough to not let bleeds fall off.
@@AwbeeX57 If you cut the energy costs in half, Shred is 21 and Bite is 18. Bite will 100% hit harder than Shred as well, so you're wasting Energy and doing less damage by not using bite during berserk.
Been doing Barkskin for clearcasting for 10 minutes now as well, and not a single Clearcasting proc. So that's possible been fixed, depending how old that clip at the end is. Just did Shred vs Bite without wasting a full energy bar, Shred is doing 8.1k unbuffed while Bite did 19.7k. This is at the minimum energy needed for Bite. In raid it's closer to 20k shred and 50k Bites.
@@xonkk8976 Well check it in a raid, Barkskin clip is from 1 day ago. The thing that makes Shred better is that you can get 2-3 shreds per 1 fero bite.
