I’d like to see this hand drawn using a real compass and straight edge, step by step, using this method. I’ve tried this a few times and found it was a bit off.

If your drawing is accurate you should get results like the video, also as mentioned in the description "This Method is only Approximate" so there is a bit error, but the error is too small to notice, if it is noticeable then it is accuracy problem.

well, it is not possible to draw an exact (100% Accurate) Tridecagon, so this method is approximate, yet still it is about 99% Accurate, which is fine for manual drawing, but you need to be as accurate as possible when following the steps in order to get good results :)
