How to Draw Boats Part 1 Step by Step Drawing Fishing and Sailing Boats 

Good video! Thank you! Maritime art is a passion of mine, and I love to see other artist's perspectives on the topic. In the stern-on view, a boat is a collection of ellipses. The sheer line runs in a continuously-changing radius. The sheer is one of the elements that gives a boat its definition. When it's right, no one notices, but when it's wrong, everyone can tell the drawing isn't working. It's so important for an artist to be patient while rendering that curve; erasing and redrawing is perfectly normal until it's right.
