How to Draw Large Pictures

I just bought the app a couple of days ago. The first time I used it I realized how much it opens up a whole new world of art for me. The first pic was a snapshot of my cat, and that turned out so well that he was easily recognizable. My second pic was Vermeer's "Girl With A Pearl Earring," and that was easy. One thing I just can't get my head around is to zoom (enlarge) the image on the cell phone to get greater detail in my drawing (such as the eyes) and have it still line up exactly where it's supposed to be in the pic. I'm drawing. My "next" experiments will be animals, houses, barns and horses. By then Ill have figured out how to make a large drawing. From that point ( I hope) I'll look up the sizes of various famous pieces of art and draw them on canvas. They'll be fakes, of course, but who wouldn't want to have a Rembrandt, Van Gough's "Starry Night," etc. hanging in their house. I hope your Da Vinci Eye is working out for you.

Ana Pena hi! If you press settings in the upper right then press grid, there is an option to turn on the grid. Let me know if this helps :)

Ar stands for augmented reality. It would be easier for you to google a video than for me to explain as a comment. To move the grid, camera, or image press the “Move” button and select grid camera or image. When the move button is unpressed everything is locked together so it stays proportional.

Hi Ana, press Settings (top right) > Grid > Show. You can see this done at 1:14 in this video.

Hi Jesse Thanks for reaching out. The app right now is designed for smaller art work. While you could use it to make a mural the process would be a bit difficult, you would need to mirror your screen to another a monitor. That being said... I am coming out with a new app specifically designed for murals in the near future!

This is an older video, there is a newer video that is much easier to follow. But to answer your question the adjust button is now under “move” then press “grid” and it does the same thing.

Da Vinci Eye App it doesn’t say any version, such as 2.0 or 3.0, it just says Da Vinci eye

Also... is this app any different from camera lucida? Besides the price

Robert Alexander this app is way better than camera lucida! Also on the iOS Apple App Store it is version 3.0 now. Also you can try it and if you don’t like it you can ask for a refund from Apple I think within 48 hours?

Da Vinci Eye App I think both apps are from the same company. Why do you think it’s better?
