which wheel is it? If you have one of the licensed steering wheels with its official gear shifter it should work just fine. But keep in mind that it depends on which car you're using. Some cars have a sequential or automatic grearbox when stock so it won't work unless you install a manual gearbox. Or you can choose a car which has a manual gearbox in its stock form.
Hey buddy! Thanks for great videos with detailed explenations. I’m stubborningly learning to drift in gt7 and I wonder if you can help me to understant what I’m doing wrong. I have used that Silvia almost stock with only CH tyres and steering angle kit. I was improving and then tried your exact setup. I don’t know why but now every time I throttle I spin out and there is nothing to do to control the drift. I tried ebraking and throttle. Slowly throttling and immediately countersteer doesn’t help either. It just spins every single time. Could I try some mild tuning from stock version to make it drift a little bit better step by step and if so what should I tune first? Toe angle, camper or such?
Hey budd, you're welcome! First thing you did wrong was to start practicing while using an angle kit... very bad idea. It's one of may common mistakes people do which I've just covered in my new short video: ru-vid.comLM11WI2OLH4?feature=share Start without it and learn your way up totally without it to avoid developing very bad habits that ruin the flow of your drifting and your car control skills. You're gonna keep spinning until you unlearn what you have started with so far. The Silvia setup that I mad is perfect for starting to learn drifting, especially the suspension setup, but you need to not be hesitant with your inputs. Just forget the fear of spinning out and stop thinking about avoiding it, and think more of wanting to make that drift just work if this makes sense. I made the car this way so that you can hit the gas hard while not thinking a lot about throttle modulation. It's a good way to learn how to balance the drift and keep the momentum. You can just increase the power a bit more and see if this helps at first, then get back later to this same amount of less power and try to drift it the way it is. Goddamnit dude, that angle kit advice was spot on. That made a world of difference so I did few more other tweaks and within one hour of practice in Willow Springs I did my first full drift around practice circle and many after that. I write here how I actually made it step by step if someone else gets help from it too. I realized that angle kit was making my turns way too drastic causing car to spin. I still did spin every now and then but I was starting to be in control. So I decided to reduce controller sensitivity to 0 (pause menu-controller settings-controller sensitivity) for even slower turns. No more spinning around and I was pretty happy. At this point I changed car settings back to the exact ones (except I still use CH tyres) that SimActionClip has in this video. First I did only power slides around the circle one after another. For me sensitivity 0 is too slow to make car drift. Gradually I went from 0 to 5 finding throttle and turn sweet spot in every level. This took me an hour or so. Moving from 3 to 4 were the most difficult transition. After reaching sensitivity 5 many things just started to click somehow. Instead of throttling and hoping to hold the drift together with counter steer I started to feel the car so to speak and many things told in these two videos started to make sense. Hello, yes the speed is an important factor in drifting and you can clearly see in the video that I describe how to approach the corner for each technique. For the clutch kick technique (power over) for example you have to approach the corner at a slower speed than usual to avoid understeering while in the handbrake technique you should initiate the drift at a higher speed than usual to be able to smoothly continue the drift. I mention that at the beginning of the explanation of each technique which are cut into different chapters in the video.
Heyam i have a question. I don't understand why when i try to drift with any car for some reason the car can't fully throttle. This happenes with every car and bult. Can you help me and if you do i will apriceat it amd i will subscribe
Hey man. I think you only need to calibrate your pedals. Which wheel are you using? In the game's main menu click on the GT icon at the top left corner of the screen, then click options > controller > steering controller settings to find the pedals calibration menu.
