We have no experience with the satellite antenna, but the tips we showcase in this video should work for any application that requires drilling into your fiberglass.
Thank you so much for this. Couple of questions: 1. what type of drill bit? metal/wood etc? 2. What diameter drill bit do you use relative to the diameter of the screw threads? For example, if it's a 6mm diameter screw thread, what size drill bit would you recommend? Again, thank you so much, this is such a help.
We are happy to help. Standard drill bits are all that you need. No need for wood specific ones. For each tower we list the drill bits you will need for the installation in the instructions. However, if you are using a screw, you will just need a pilot hole. We also recommend to also counter sink this hole with drill bit in reverse before installing the screw. This helps to keep the gel coat from cracking. For our towers we use a bolt and nylock nut internally. Therefore, you drill the hole according to the bolt.
We did not drill normally for this application. When using the ball, you can, it doesn't matter with that particular part. Just drilling with the drill bit in reverse.
