Nice video, I knew nothing besides using AK4 for bob. Have been playing your map "bobsauce" recently (awesome map btw) and got 5th world. Hopefully I can further improve it and learn some more about bob.
Ey you mentioned my inconsistent bob start with the booster👍👍👍good video, didnt know about the wiggles…still have some inconsistencies in your 3 min map with the very second bob turn (i think), the speed i get in the entry seems random and can go up to +-10 speed(at least for me)
A little thought about why the bobsleigh booster start, it's probably because the car is sliding I've noticed with ice boosters (and bobsleigh boosters) that you only get the full boost if you are going perfectly straight (hence why the attempt in the video where you went straight was extremely fast). Any deviation and it will give you less speed, to the point where a booster can barely affect you at all This is also why ice sliding and backwards driving let you skip antiboosters

I recently started with TM (only played a bit TMNF many years ago) and so far i can say ice and bobsleigh are my nemesis 😅 Sure, i have to practice more, but this one training map (19 or so) with two sharp bobsleigh turns gave me a headache and i left it with only silver and went on.
Thank you for this video. I'm a relatively new and inexperienced player. I was able to complete a bobsleigh map without completely spinning around and having no idea why for the first time.
@xEmlanx, you mentioned in the video that you can normally wiggle on bob when you go down from an elevated poss and that you can continue doing old wiggles when this applies. Is this only for bobsleigh, or does it also apply to ice? As an example, the last Ice part after the small bump on 22, on the current campaign.
You can wiggle when going down at anny time on normal ice aswell its verry well shows in my cap slip and slide where catzii wiggles down on normal ice in The middle of The track :)
Man why are there no videos that go over the actual basics, the only relevant piece of info in this video (to my skill level, yes I'm bad) is "keep your car horizontal" but then there's no explanation of how to do that.
On my Kirbys Spring 11 map I believe fullsteer is faster even under 400 speed. I am not exactly sure but I remember figuring that out the other day and I Was quite confused. Maybe there is some more Things to bobsleigh that we just don't know about yet
@@xEmlanx the % your steer isnt really dependent on ur own speed as much as it is dependent on the bobsleigh itself you want to steer as much as possible while staying in the bobsleigh curve, so if the bobsleigh is wide for your speed (like the first bobsleigh in 13 with no cut) you do ak4, but if its tight enough for your speed that it holds you good (like the last 2 bobsleighs in 13 also no cut) then you can fullsteer, it just usually tends to be at higher speed if its so wide the bobsleigh doesnt hold you at all, then you want to tap when you're in the curve, but this only happens if u crash or if the bobsleigh is badly mapped
I'm on console and you're talking about action keys which we don't have. On top of it you're contradicting yourself. "don't turn" but you show yourself turning eg 0:27.
