I hope you guys try this out and never wait longer than a minute for your nails to dry!! :D this works with any nail polish (that I've tried) and the best part is it's totally free. If you want to try something from the store, my fav fast drying top coat is from Seche Vite. It's amazing! PAM cooking spray can also dry your nails quickly, BUT you end up all greasy and awkward and it still leaves your nails tacky so it's possible to smudge them.

My nails are completely dry and then I go to bed and when I wake up I get my nail marks and smudges and fingerprints in it :(

this trick only works on oil based nail polishes, not on water based

This actually doesn't work. It does, for about 2-3 minutes after you take them out of the ice bath,.. But as your nails come back to room/body temperature, the nail polish then comes back up to body temp, which will allow snuggles and nicks. If you're using regular polish, you're going to have to take an extra 15-20 minutes to allow your nails to dry completely

yes this works in addition, I dried them, one coat of alcohol, then grape-seed oil and they were dry and in place:^)

Thank you so much for this tip! I stopped biting my nails a little over a year ago and I'm having tons of fun with learning how to do and perfect my own white-tip manicures. I have one of those little fan nail dryers, but even that takes too long to dry my nails, so this ice water trick is very much appreciated!

Yeah, this saved my life! I currently have the most gorgeous manicure and it's thanks to this vid. I always start and then run out of patience and end up leaving my nails with one or two thin coats. I actually did ART on my nails yesterday since this makes it so fast. THANK YOUUUU! :)) This is amazing. You rock.

This is great! I hate waitig for nail polish, after I'm done painting my nails, I always end up getting up and doing things as carefully as possible but they almost ALWAYS get smudged in some way and I have to redo.

I just tried this with red polish. (brand unknown) No longer wet but I'm being careful not to bump my nails on anything. This is so much better than holding my hands out and barely touching things to avoid smudges. Thank you for the hack.
