Why would you dedicate the time to make a video of your failures and make it seem like a how to video? Blue and yellow make green... Are you kidding me? Don't make tutorial videos.
Thanks a lot I used ur hot glue gun dye video and it worked. I am about to use this type of dye for my proton power, but all I wanted to say was thank you and I am making a business out of this
Thank u so much I just did this with my rabil x head with the colors dark purple and dark pink it turned out great this video helped alot so thank u very much.
for test dyes try a coat hanger. I sauderd an ond clutch that I had sitting around and it was to thin/weak so I threw in a bit of a coat hanger and it worked perfectly
For test dyes purchasing a cheap starter head and cutting it into sections may work just to see if your colors are right , the material in the sidewalls would be especially helpful.
You can, but the stainless steel pot I have used in the past has gotten discolored, and I wouldn't use it for cooking. Just boil the water, then pour it in a bucket and add your dye so you don't ruin the pot.
these scratches you are talking about are commonly referred to as "scoopies" you can use sandpaper to scratch them off if you want a clean look, if you don it will come out fine
Dyeing stick is different from mixing paints and inks because the heads can take dye differently. I had never done blue and yellow before, but I should have known. I am a full-time artist, but I am also a part-time idiot.
Hey awesome job, your an amazing dyer! Future reference though: the reason your stick turned orange rather than yellow is because you put too much dye in, you only need one pack of rit to make it yellow, head still looks awesome though!
Probably. I'm not sure what the melting point is for nylon polymer, but if the bottom of the pan was really hot, I'm sure things wouldn't turn out well.
it was really just the color you picked, golden yellow turns all the heads orange regular yellow is fine. I actually did the same thing with my surgeon because my schools colors are yellow and navy blue and my golden yellow turned orange
Then you're fine. it may discolor, but wash it well when you're done, and the next time you dye, heat some water first, and some color may seep out of the steel. Just dump that, and then you're ready to go.
if you have a broken head you can cut it with a hacksaw into small pieces and even use sidewall holes to tie string and get it out easier since you dont care about getting the holes died just testing the color
putting the head in the water while its burning on the stove warps the head. for fogo's this can be good if you want to turn a stiff head to a flexy head
Tom, I got my 2 boxes of powdered Royal Blue RIT in today!:D Should I only use one pack of it to test? I really wanna get a rich royal without using too much powder. It's a white head, and its going from Royal on the bottom to white in the middle to Royal on the scoop
Oh and I have another question , does it matter if there are dark stains from dirt on the head and scratches on the scoop when dying and do you remove the ballstop from the head ( I want to dye a proton power)
Might be a dumb question but I have never dyed a head before but I have a Black Proton Power and was wondering if there was a way I could dye it to a different color, I have heard you can and some people say you cant but you seem like a pro so I thought I would ask you thanks.
I tried dyeing my warrior nemy lyte black with 2 bottles BLACK rit dye and it came out blue... then I tried to dye my STX Eclipse Red with the rit dye and it came out pinkish purple!
usalax76 You didn't let it sit long enough i dye goalie heads and my first couple eclipses didn't turn out right and it was because i didn't let them sit long enough if u need any help with dyes email me at jjseltzer2@gmail.com
