I leave it on for an hour and a half and I get a very red with purple hints. In sunlight looks red and indoors looks purple. Cool and I luv it. Been dying my hair constantly since 17th birthday. Don't even remember how my natural black hair looks like😋😋
I just wanted to know if the swarzkopf live with the bold colors show up on dark hair. I want to dye my hair but just to add a small tint to it while keeping it semi permanent
so helpful thank you. i'll be dyeing my hair for the first time tomorrow by myself and im not bleaching it so i was quite worried that the colour wouldnt show cos i have rlly dark hair but this video actually eased my nerves xx
_Maylee Ana_ wow it feels like such a long time ago to be returning to this comment. yeah i just applied the dye with no bleach and it left a lovely purple tint on my dark hair and it was brought out quite starkly in the sunlight. it did pick up a lot of colour and you could deffo tell that id dyed it so i’d recommend starting out with just using dye without bleach if its your first time but i was in love with the colour i got after i bleached then dyed. if you’re going from colour to bleach after you’re finished with the dye, get a colour stripper/remover then bleach x sorry for rambling but hope any of this was helpful
So you add the old hair color to ur conditioner? I thought they tell you to throw it out even if u mix it with conditioner to throw out leftover? The one thing I don’t like with purple it fades too fast
I was thinking about dying my hair in this colour but i am a bit afraid, does the colour completely wash out?So that at the end your natural hair is back?
this is brill! is the first dye you use permanent and does it damage your hair much? unsure as i have never dyed my hair before and want to go purple! but i have really dark hair - thankyou x
Hi Asha - i've dyed and bleached my hair loads so I can compare. Yes, this is a permanent box dye so it will damage your hair slightly but it's definitely not as damaging as bleaching your hair. However, for really dark hair, I think that bleaching hair gives better results but I wouldn't advise bleaching your hair as a first timer. This is a great way to start!
I’ve dyied my hair with live and it works on darker hair, i’ve had it purple and light orange and I didn’t bleach my hair On the orange one it says thats it is lightening the hair and then the color will stay or something like that so I think that’s how it works
It's not a permanent colour. All semi permanent colours will fade with each wash but you can delay it by washing hair in cold water, using colour safe products, reducing heat styling etc etc.
i went to salon to get pink and red color when my hair was above shoulders. She bleached then dyed my hair. First, my hair was totally dry and damaged and the color was gone in a month. I ended up having orange blonde hair for long enough to trim it off 90%. I do not want to bleach my hair anymore. I will consider this color lift to minimize the damage. Thank you for the video
Hey Isabella - bright colours are not permanent, so you need to constantly top it up with semi-permanent colour masks. Since your hair has already been bleached, you don't really need to lift it a huge amount, it should take dark purple colour reasonably well - I recommend looking at Manic Panic or Directions hair colour and using it as a mask.
I got pregnant right after it got colored red. All my friends told me not to color my hair again during pregnancy so i let my dark hair grow out. It was a very hard period of time ....
Hey - this product contains a bleaching agent within it. However the Ultra Brights do not and will not show up well on dark hair that has not been lightened.
Hey! If you're talking about the Ultra Brights, (the semi permanent purple dye), you can apply it the same day. The semi-permanent artificial hair dyes are more like a hair stain - they do not have any strong developer or bleach in them, so they don't damage your vunerable, freshly dyed hair further.
