Did your wheels turn gray after being in the sun? I dyed inline wheels with graphite synthetic and they came out jet black, I loved it, but then they turned the exact gray on the bottle after a few skates in the sun. I’m wondering if I just need to dye them longer.
Hm, no mine are still def black. i mean not as inky as at first but it's been like 2 years and i use them a lot so i'd say the fade is acceptable. i did keep them in for awhile. and please make sure you're using the synthetic dye
@@rollerskaterevival8484 Yep I used synthetic. I guess the secret is leaving them in longer. They were a beautiful jet black when I took them out but they were only in there 10 minutes. The dye lightened and became the shade of gray on the bottle so it worked as advertised 😂
Pretty well actually. They’re not a deep black now kinda old and dusty but def still black. If you find me on IG I’ll send a pic, I don’t think I can upload here
Hi! I’m looking into dying my toe stops as well! Does the dye only work on the outside? does it leave a trail of dye when you use them at all? Also could you elaborate a little on these skates you used in this video? Thank you!
hi! Yes, it only works on the outside, as the rubber wears on the bottom the original color comes though. But it's been months now and the outsides are still black. Also after this vid I tried to dye some stops blue and it did not work as well as the black, and someone told me she also had trouble with that shade of blue.So not all dye colors are equal. No, it does not leave a trail of dye. The skates that I'm holding are Flaneurrz click skates, I sent them those black boots for them to install their click system in. They're my favorite things in the world.

@@inmortalgirl9480 yes! you have a little stick on your keychain and you stab the back of the heel the unclip. TBH i didn't get how amazing they are when i lived in a car city bc ofc they are shoes so they don't perform as well as roller skates, so i thought they were an overpriced novelty, but now that i live in a city with a metro system i use them all.the.time!

Unfortunately I'd say yes. Submerging your bearings in water for a long time is a great way to destroy them. Maybe you can find someone/somewhere with a bearing press?
