On March 29, 2022, an officer was dispatched to a suspicious parked vehicle in Janesville, WI. After confronting the driver, he ignored their commands and drove off. A Rock County Sheriff’s deputy later noticed the driver and attempted a traffic stop. He fled again and drove in the wrong direction into oncoming traffic. Eventually, the suspect struck head-on into a deputy’s vehicle and then fled on foot. After hours of searching, he was discovered hiding in the egress window of a residence.

Yeesh -- patrolmen, let me give you some hard-earned advice. Calm down, take 3 breaths, then calm down again. As an FTO I saw way too many itchy triggers and heard way too many conflicting verbal commands, all of whom were way too amped up. You're a walkiling liability until you sort out your training and felony step procedures. This stemmed from a paraphernalia charge, not a murder suspect. Deescalate first and foremost; saves lives.

@@tylerpitts3312 No, he fled from a traffic stop. The basis for that traffic stop is flimsy -- "suspicious vehicle." We get this kind of call about 200 times each night. These kinds of details might seem silly in RU-vid comments, but in court, his reasonable suspicion is flaky. The moment the patrolman spotted the paraphernalia is when it turned into a bona fide stop.

Females should not be signing up for that line of work. Even most men can't really handle it. Street policing, when you sign up for that job, you are signing up and one GUARANTEE is that YOU WILL BE traumatized. I don't feel "bad" for people that don't handle the trauma well that they signed up to receive. I don't know how this lady handled her trauma in the long run, but if she doesn't recover, that's on her for choosing a profession that she was not strong enough for.

@@thisisgettingold This comment lacks empathy. WHY do these people sign up to be policemen or women? To knowingly be traumatized, is your implication. But does that make any sense? Of course not. They sign up because they truly want to help people (most of the time). They want to help keep their communities safe and secure from the evil in the world. Do they know that means they will be exposed to traumatic events? Yes. Does that mean that their willingness to put themselves into harm’s way and to be so exposed is any less heroic? No! Because they are doing it for more self-less reasons. Your comment lacks any ability to put yourself into their shoes and really understand why they are willing to face trauma in the first place, which is why you lack sympathy in response.

The "one voice" guy (plus the one saying "slow down, everyone") made a world of difference. Honestly I think that seemingly minor detail alone is extremely critical. I already began seeing how things could go so badly the second I heard one guy telling the suspect to crawl out (for which he needs to use his hands) and when he attempted, another officer yelled at him to keep his hands up. I've seen too many videos of cops all just barking orders at whoever they're trying to get under control. Even if they were all saying the same thing, just the fact that it's many of them talking all at once, each one trying to be heard over the noise they are themselves creating, it will make not just the suspect but everyone (meaning the officers too) more high-strung, emotional, confused and lead to very unpredictable or outrageous outcomes.

@@dogloversrule8476 Very possible. I remember another video of a few cops surrounding a man who was holding his toddler in front of him. The video gave the context that the man was "using the baby as a bodyshield for himself" but as I looked at it, it turns out that he was actually trying to protect his toddler, he was surrounded by a bunch of cops barking orders at him but the worst part was this guy with a canine *aggressively and quickly closing the distance to a mere few feet away* and the dog was rearing up and barking and trying to get at him and he was lucky the officer was still holding the dog back just feet away. So the man had little choice than to just hold his child up to his own chest afraid of putting him to the ground and the dog lunging at him. All the while, of course, they're all barking orders and the dog itself is barking (and getting more and more excited because of the chaos they themselves are causing) and nobody can hear anybody. You could see from her body cam that she had full wheel and curtain airbag deployment. Yea, she's gonna be pretty sore for a while. But, her quick thinking saved that useless waste of meth-infused trash from smashing head-on into some unsuspecting civie - not to mention she realized it herself and saved her own skin from a header. Some information for those unfamiliar: The officer who first speaks to Jesse at the beginning of this video is Officer Rear. He was previously a correctional officer at the Rock County Jail prior to being promoted to a patrol officer for the sheriff's department. The officer that was hit by Jesse was Officer Velencia whom also was a correctional officer previously. Later in the video around the 17:10 mark, you'll see Officer Danielson. All of these Officers were familiar with Jesse Seales as Mr. Seales was an inmate at the jail on previous occassions. It would appear by watching this video and listening to the convorsations that it was very likely that Jesse was on this phone while driving during the chase and was likely staring at it's screen when he hit officer Velencia. Quite possibly, it was also this phone that his passanger was trying to find after Jesse ran from the vehicle.

Cool info regarding the COs, I was wondering how they already knew his name.. But who cares if he mightve been on his phone or not, they were going the wrong way on a highway, they were destined to crash.

One thing I see on this channel is the recognition of who is in charge “verbally” the “one voice” or “I’ll take verbal” I’d something I’m not used to seeing but it’s brilliant. Multiple officers noticing the issue aswell. “Everyone slow down”. Nothing how the situation is quickly escalating. Giving everyone a moment to take a step back. Without pulling the suspect to 17 different locations. Good work all around in this one. The community is in good hands with these guys & gals
