How to quickly and easily adjust your Wren Kitchen Drawers when they stick. This is for new style soft close drawer units (from 2016 onwards). All you need is a flat blade and a cross-head screwdriver.
thanks for the upload exactly what i needed, seems like a lot of screws & complexity in this mechanism for what it does, but have to say impressed with kitchen quality is great. Oddly i don't seem to have those plastic covers on my. might have to give them a call does seem of to have all that exposed on mine now ive seen yours
As a mechanical engineer myself I think the mechanism appears well designed and not over complicated considering what it has to do and how robust it needs to be. Importantly it gives easy access to the adjusting screws which work well. Our kitchen doesn't have the covers either, it came with our new house so don't know whether it should have them, but given the general very poor standard of our "installation" nothing would surprise me !
I've just moved house and inherited a seemingly "new" Wren kitchen that appears to have been installed by an idiot, hence am now adjusting ALL the doors and drawers. Just a shame that the installation manual we've inherited has photos of a different mechanism than our drawers have, with visually different adjust screws, which is why I'm here now.... Thanks J Beck for this excellent guide, far easier to follow than Wren's own videos ! Just one comment, maybe better to reference "front" or "back" of the mech, rather than "right" as that will become "left" on t'other side of the drawer.
@@berenzable if you mean your kitchen's as badly installed as ours, then you have my sympathies. I used to get angry when the tv adverts show how "wonderful" Wren kitchens are, yet judging by numerous YT videos and forum comments we're not alone - maybe Wren are semi-decent designers, but as they seem to employ/use incompetent fitters to install them, it matters not. I'm a retired mechanical engineer (aerospace) by trade, and imho Wren kitchens are carp. Then again, it seems that EVERYTHING in our house was installed on the cheap, by idiots, the heating, the electrics, plumbing, the lot - a rather sad indictment on UK tradesmen skills, and the poor ignorant sods who pay them. Good luck !
Conscious I'm posting on an old video, but the problem with our drawer is not that it's too high or low. Rather the issue is that the side of the drawer (with the adjustable mechanism) is coming out at the wrong angle making the drawer too wide to close?
