How to EASILY beat Geo Hypostasis in Genshin Impact Free to Play Friendly! (Update 1.1)

In this video, I beat Geo Hypostasis without taking any damage with only free guaranteed units.
Reuploaded because the boss fight was changed slightly after the 1.1 Update
Xiangling is free right now (Oct 7 2020) if you beat Abyss 3 Chamber 3 as is Noelle. You can get Noelle guaranteed from the Beginner's Pull when you first start the game. She is NOT ideal for this fight because her Breastplate and Ultimate do not affect Geo Hypostasis, but we use her because she is the only guaranteed Claymore unit and she breaks pillars in the final pahse quite easily. If you have ANY other Claymore unit, you should use them instead.
Claymore units deal increased (and thus viable) damage to Geo constructs, making them MANDATORY for this fight.
ONE OF THESE MANDATORY UNITS:
Noelle (Free to Play Option)
Razor (From the Paimon's Deals or Random Pull)
Chongyun
Beidou (Low Pillar DPS because she has a 5 step normal attack instead of 4)
Klee (Low Pillar DPS)
Diluc (Highest DPS but rarest)
IDEAL UNITS:
Diluc
Beidou
Razor
Xiangling (for additional passive DPS)
Fischl (for additional passive DPS)
MAYBE AVOID THESE UNITS FOR DPS:
Ningguang
Geo Traveler
Noelle
Zhongli
Geo Hypostasis is completely immune to Geo damage, making Ningguang useless for anything but breaking Pillars. Geo Traveler does not deal adequate damage at all aside from normals.
I beat my first Geo Hypostasis at AR26 World Level 2 on my first try. (I put in a lot of time outside of Liyue). In this video, I beat Geo Hypostasis at level 72 World Level 5 with Noelle and Anemo Traveller without getting hit. Gear and level only let you make more mistakes.

@@dodoconny_art DPS = Damage Per Second XinYan is a claymore user that has a 4-part normal attack, so her Pillar DPS is on par with other 4-parters like Noelle. This is different than Beidou, who has a 5-part normal attack, which means that she deals less damage per hit to pillars. Ningguang has lower pillar DPS than 4-part claymore users because she deals so little damage per hit again the pillars, but as a tradeoff, she can hit them from afar.

I think Zhongli or Noelle should be used, zhongli does good dmg to pillars and has shield as a bonus, or just using elemental skill by only tapping deals massive dmg to pillars. Just noelle and zhongli shouldnt be used on damaging phases due to immunity of geo

@@afrog2666 Kaeya, just make an ice bridge there by using his special in the water, walk across, ice, use special again, keep repeating. Takes a bit of time but its very easy and you can get there at any level as soon as you get Kaeya. Activate a warp point to make it easy to get back, unlock the domain so you'll have 2 warp points.

I always smile when I see people running with Amber. Yeah she’s basically a 3-star character and her moves are weak, however I can’t explain why, but I keep her in my party 90% of the time despite having way better options as far as raw damage goes. The heart wants what the heart wants.

Amber is a 4 star character but I love her. I have her as support and I use the Stringless weapon for her. My charge shots are about 200 and up. She pulls through for me

My Amber only needs Twenty charged shots to wipe out the Aeonblight Drake... Granted I keep using Dendro Traveler give the burning status to the Drake... and Barbara to keep Amber's attacks also causing Vaporize... Amber is effect even if only at C2...

Well explained and even has good character suggestions! This is actually quite essential to farm after the 1.3 update due to the Geo Shield boost - and the item drops are badly needed to boost Geo Characters. I only got Noelle (and the MC too) but I'm not complaining.

Great video as always! I usually do a bit of damage w/ Amber when he becomes vulnerable after performing an attack on top of a pillar and right as he’s recovering I break the weakened pillar to do even more damage (but I doubt it’s really necessary if you have the proper gear). But yeh, well done.

Thank you very much! i just reached AR30 and i forgot to collect some basalt pillars to level up my Noelle and it wreaked me when i tried to face it at lvl 50 (i forgot to get the resources until after the WR3 came into effect so she is still lvl 50) with this hopefully i can win and farm this guy! Also i forgot that you can use Noel's q attack to destroy pillars, my mind thought since it does not damage the core that it does not damage the pillars. May the Gacha be generous to us and hopefully i will get more Noelles (she is at c1 right now, i just started about 2 weeks ago)!

actually, for the earthquake thing, u just need noelle's shield or that break that yellow thing next to the pillar where the hypo is and then u stay there and break the pillar quickly so the hypo falls down and then u can barrage it with attacks

Noelle is great for this fight cuz she can break down the pillars really fast and her shield can easily tank one of those shockwaves so you don't have to run away and run back in every time the hypostasis does that. Her elemental burst can also break down all 3 pillars at the end in one go if your controls are smooth. Downside: she does basically no damage to the cube itself cuz her physical dmg is very low and its immune to her burst, so bring another non geo DPS. Also, you need materials from geo hypostasis to build Noelle in the first place.

Man, this is nostalgic. I was a Noelle main from the get-go, so I always found this one of the most hilariously bully-able bosses in the game. I was surprised back then when I checked out the community and co-op scene to find how many were asking for help against it.

I didn't fight the geo hypostasis until world level 6... That was mistake as at the time my only claymore user was Noelle, who had been capped out at Level 40... against a level 64 Geo Hypostasis... Took me seven times to finally beat it... and somehow didn't get the upgrade core thing for Noelle... Took me a lot more times to get Noelle up to level 80, then I got Ningguang and had to refight the Hypostasis seventeen times just to be sure I got all the needed materials...

@@philtkaswahl2124 It was less that and more I rushed the story to Sumeru, I kept noelle but all she had at the time was the Starter Greatsword... Now she has Whiteblind and the 4 peice Husk of Opulent Dreams 4 star set with Sands 43% DEF, Circlet 30% CRIT rate, Flower was the only 5 star and it is 4780 HP, with Crit Rate and ATK +8.9%, Feather/Plume is a flat ATK 250 increase with 6% Crit Rate boost, and the Goblet is Viridescent Venere with Geo Boost 40%, Energy Recharge +8% and Crit Damage +8%. I didn't know of the geo hypostasis for a long time and just assumed it was a boss being added in 4.0... Beat Sumeru final Archon Quest and had a commission that wound up leading me to the Geo Hypo, and felt like an idiot...

Loving the F2P friendly guides. Using Noelle's burst to take down all 3 pillars at the end is a really good idea. I have all the 4-star characters (except Diona), and Noelle is still my weapon of choice for the final phase.

Didn’t realise the pillar break bonus, definitely helped me out. I actually used ninguang for pillar breaking instead of noelle, her elemental burst is really helpful for destroying the pillars when he’s trying to revive but i can see how noelle would help outside of that situation

If you have niingyuan i’ve found that you can put up her jade screen a decent distance from the pillars and manually aim her basic attack at the pillars. It takes a little longer but keeps you safe from pretty much all of the attacks the hypsotasis can throw at you (except for when it drops a rock on your head)

This boss is actually the most longest one to beat and plus he doesn't get out of those pillars so you need to destroyed one by one like bruh.......it actually took me more than 20 minutes to kill it ..
