How to EASILY beat Oceanid Rhodeia of Loch in Genshin Impact - Free to Play Friendly

In this video, I showcase every Oceanid summon you can encounter.
IF YOU DIVE ATTACK INTO THE WATER YOU CAN DODGE THE FROG AND CHICKEN BOMB
We bring 2 Electro for the bonus effectiveness of Electro Charged and 2 Pyro for the 25% flat damage boost.

Lisa is free in general and is one of the better units for this fight. I really cannot recommend that you try to solo this fight with just a melee unit unless you intend to tank all of the damage from the ducks and crabs. This fight is very simple to beat, but in my opinion, it is impossible to do hitless without cheese.
MANDATORY UNITS:
None
IDEAL UNITS:
Fischl (Ideal for Kiting)
Lisa (Free to Play Option)
Venti (Cheese)
Chongyun (Elemental skill can freeze units easily)
Kaeya (Only for Elemental Burst to freeze)
Xiangling (Passive DPS)
Sucrose (Passive DPS to an extent)
AVOID SOLOING WITH THESE UNITS:
None. This boss is possible with any team but easier on others
That's it. This boss is very very easy to beat, but nearly impossible to do hitless. Just make sure you have enough DPS and you shouldn't have any real issues.
I beat my first Oceanid at AR22. (I spent most of my time outside of Liyue) Gear and level only let you make more mistakes.

@Führer des Benutzers the only character i have that fits my playstyle is xinyan rn, so she's my main. but i finally leveled up my yanfei and she gets me thru both bosses now luckily! i don't know why i wasn't utilizing her before but pyro catalyst makes it so much easier for these bosses and i just didn't have them leveled

This boss has been the most difficult for me, so this guide really helps and I didnt know there was a time limit that explains why I got oneshoted. Personally I hate this boss his got too much AOE attacks.

Yeah a lot of people don't know that there's a time limit so I figured I might as well talk about it. My best advice is to just bring as much passive damage as possible, bring a healer, and eat food to get damage.

Or, - you get a cryo character (yes, Kaeya is good) - freeze them at the spawn square - and nuke them with your best dps Bring some archer for the birds...

Another important tip: don't fight it when it's raining. Lisa ends up doing more damage to herself than she does to the summons. (That really shouldn't be a thing.)

Yeah, I noticed that later. I did finally manage to defeat it a couple times fairly easily after struggling for ages though. The key was eating an ATK UP meal.

It always rains during the Oceanid fight. You can bring a Cryo character if you want crowd control. Kaeya has a pretty fast skill cooldown.

For those who don't have fischl, can use kaeya instead. I personally have experienced that Kaeya's freezing attacks (both the burst and skill) are very helpful in rendering the enemy spawns useless and just keep chipping away at them. Also Noelle's shield is a helpful option against the unfair stomps the frogs and sparrows do, and also the bombs on their deaths. My party to beat oceanid is Kaeya (Main DPS), Lisa (Support + ranged for hawks), Noelle (Shield against frogs and sparrows), Xiangling (you can have anyone really, i don't even use her. sometimes her Gouba is useful but I almost never have to use her) Barbara is in my main squad so I beat the Oceanid quite frequently for the level up materials.

Noelle's shield works against the frog exploding and freezing the enemies using Kaeya to stop them and give you distance or let you attack them physically with a sword is good. You also don't have to build these characters. I learned this from other guides. Sun Wei, I summon you to read this!

Damn, a little irritating that there’s two no-no’s No-No 1. Undodgeable attacks in order to either tank damage/1-shot a character No-No 2. Inaccurate indicators Good guide as always though-slowly getting there in terms of world rank and gear. Now if only the game wouldn’t make me pull Barbara and only Barbara lmao

Chongyun really cheeses the fight, If you have him use him for this, Razor is also very good as his hold E does a very large amount of AoE damage, You can also use both of them on the same team even though it decreases razors damage output it, you make back the damage because of shatter

In higher AR levels and World levels this is HARD especially in mobile. Like if the Oceanid is at level 70+ NGL, I was swearing a lot when fighting this at World Level 5 and at AR40. You need someone who provides cryo(Kaeya/Qiqi/Chongyun) in higher levels to freeze some other opponents and ur electro main (I use Lisa and Beidou) attacks the others. Bring a healer. I lost almost all my dishes in this battle without a healer and it wasn't worth the win. And bring a LOT of patience. This is still the hardest boss fight even with the Primo Geovishap out.

Primo geovaship is the easiest boss if you spend time dodging. I can beat it without taking damage with an under leveled Noelle and Any ranged attack user

Just found out about the time limit the hard way. I was practicing mechanics and dodging with a tiny bit of life left on the enemy and all of a sudden Oceanid was like "Yeah, I got places to be...see ya."

Great guide! I also use this team but Diluc instead of Xiangling because I haven’t raised her. But Lisa is my main DPS for this, she is perfect 👌🏻 fischl’s Oz and Amber’s baron bunny help a lot in this fight too. It’s an annoying boss but challenging and unique which I appreciate

I've figure out a way to fight oceanid finally. I use Yanfei, Amber, Barbara and Diona, also like 10 sweet madames, food buffs for attack and defence (the low rated ones where I have a lot of the ingredients) and 10 steaks or eggs of I need them (I usually need some, not all). Yanfei is pretty built so I use her to INCINERATE, Amber for her doll which is a great taunt against the ducks (I haven't seen RU-vidrs mention this), Barbara for a tiny bit of healing (she's not built, just at L20) and Diona to freeze and give myself distance and also a shield.

I actually saw someone dodge the large explosion by going to the edge, jumping and plunging into the water. If you time it right it works perfectly

You get an achievement too, but for anyone trying this out, a word of advice, don’t plunge onto a sunken platform but go to the actual edges, keep track.

Your videos really helps me a lot on how to beat different bosses. Its fun to see your gameplay 3 years ago on wl 3 with underlvled chars and seeing how you really improved now. I started playing for 4 months now, ar55 and I remembered I cant beat this before especially the flying hawks (its funny I'm using melee at that time with diluc) and I'm only asking help on discord. But now, I'm trying to lvl 90 my xingqiu and trying to learn how to beat it on my own and improve my own playstyle and knowing each of the enemies well. You deserve more subs, youre helping a lot of players

@@rakhimondal935 same I accidently made my WL 3 and is currently AR 35 and I have no intention in Ascending my world until most of my main and my 2nd team is around LVL 45-48; most of my characters are between level 20 and level 30; way below the level of most of my opponents who are around Level 50 since I am having a lot of difficulty in defeating the oceanid and a few other bosses

If you need help I can co-op...I'm getting lonely playing this game by myself lol. I get nervous when I faced the bosses for the first time and it wasn't easy. It really helps if you watch guides to learn the attack patterns and practice dodging too. I recommend watching TSoul because he makes really good and informative guides for all the bosses

Okay here me out. Please do this quest in co-op. We four ppl did that and it was over within 1:23 seconds they asked for three more rounds 😭😭. All defeated them within a minute and I was standing there like 🧍🏿‍♀️. The quickest was 0:39!!!! So please get some high level players and do this quest. Ignore the other comment saying co-op sucks. It doesn't. (P.S: get your players first and then go to the location) u will b done by a minute. And I got my endora pet yayayayyaya 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️✨🧍🏿‍♀️❤️🦋

Lisa was left on the shelf the first time I fought this. I had(at the time) a c3 Beidou and c2 Razor, so I paired those with Bennett and Xiangling. Though mostly I soloed with Bei.

Just use Lisa and watch them Go Brrr Brrr. And just switch to Noelle to tank Heavy Damage Attack. My Lisa Elemental Mastery is 450 btw it equals to almost 160% damage with Elemental reactions: Electro-charged, Overload and Super-Conduct.

Question: would it also help to pair cryo with electro? Since pairing those 2 together would create a superconstruct combo (and also, i could get enemies to stay still for a sec). I just imagine that pairing pyro with electro would make defeating hydro character more difficult no? Also, im not too new to the game, but ive just started becoming more interested in character buffing and battleing.

So, if you only wanted the crowd control capability, sure. The main reason why I don't run superconduct here is because it doesn't really do a whole lot for us outside of the AoE cryo (physical is finicky to run this early in the game). Electro charged has quadratic growth, meaning it deals more damage the more enemies are nearby and electro charged and this lets us run pyro for both vaporize and overload, which we can't get it we ran cryo, which would override the vaporize for melt and the electro would be lost for superconduct. Tldr sure, if you wanted CC instead of more damage

Guys help i cant see the chicken mid fight. Literally untouchable and invisible, I can only see the shadow spot of the chicken. At first i thought that the chicken went underground but nope I was wrong.

Try facing away from it and run, it will reappear eventually however sometimes it's really a pain in the ass. I hope they fix it soon, but until then, this is what helped for me

Turns out the hitbox gets stuck on top and you have to look up where it jumped too so that the game updates its position to correct it.

I reccommend Kaeya and Xiangling because there E is a spin attack around them which will help you while hitting the animals

The crabs and birds are most annoying, bruh (especially that my characters are lvl 40/50 and Oceanid 62 ;-;). Anyway, TYSM for this guide! I must farm Cleansing Hearts (Oceanid materials) for Xingqiu, but I didn't know how to defeat her... I'll try beat Oceanid's ass myself >:D

So what i did was fight this thing with rosaria and xiangling and it was easy asf 🗿 I also ate some food to increase my damage and boom, done within minutes As for the flying birds, Lisa’s and rosaria elemental burst did the job Lastly noelle for her shields. Protected me against half of the attacks

I hit world level 4 and the boss is level 32 while my characters are 40-50 and it twoshots themand I do no dmg, Idk what to do cause I need the materials.

I think the submerge attack can be avoided using an ult animation (such as Barbara or virtually any 5 star except Traveler), it won't be perfect but at least you won't die I think

I try not to suggest using ulti invincibility frames because I don't consider it "dodging" the attack. It's a legitimate form of damage avoidance but you're not dodging it, so I try not to suggest it as the only way to avoid damage from an attack. Basically, I heavily encourage dashing in guides because it's more useful when learning what you can do against a boss's attacks. This helps you learn how to dodge moves better in general instead of relying on ulti as a cop-out tool. This also helps people in situations where they may not have ulti up and they're wondering how to avoid the attack. This is why I generally only feature ulti usage for damage rather than avoidance, but that doesn't mean I won't do both at the same time after I've shown how to dodge an attack normally.

I wanna share with u the way I defeated Oceanid Well I level up Lisa, but even so she was a lot under the level of Oceanid and my team, So I used kaeya to kill most of the mobs and when the raptors apeared I used Noelle's and Xinyan shield, then changed to Lisa and killed the raptors without taking damage Hope this help u!

i'm in the same situation, wlv3 and underleved but I get nowhere near past the third or fourth round :') i have xiao (lv60), fischl, xinyan and qiqi in my team (last three ranging from lv40-50) but surprisingly none of them are actually dealing much damage therefore i always get affected by the time limitation attack. i also don't wanna level up characters like lisa or xiangling because i'm low on hero wits and am actually saving them because i'm grinding for ascencion material, so i'm prioritising others

So my biggest piece of advice for you is that you can build XinYan for *Physical Damage*. XinYan has many benefits towards Phys, and it's very effective towards almost every enemy in the game, including Oceanid. You will still want to use your Fischl for the flying birds, but XinYan should be able to take care of everything else fairly simply if you build her with Physical Damage as a focus. If you don't know how to build Physical, you first need to get a Cup with Physical Damage% as a main stat. Then, you can build a 2piece Bloodthirsty from Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern to get additional Physical Damage%. If both artifacts are bloodthirsty set and 5 stars, you will get around 60-70% increased Physical Damage%. Additionally, if you hand XinYan a Skyrider's Greatsword, her Physical Damage% will go even higher. You can get this weapon from chests in Liyue. On XinYan, this damage is incredible, and you shouldn't have many issues with fighting the enemies because you also can use her to create a shield when you need it. Also, Xiao is a great unit to use here because he can actually use his Install Super (His Elemental Burst) to jump over the bombs that the chicken and the frog leave behind when they die. If you're still having trouble, you can replace Qiqi with Kaeya. Kaeya's freeze makes the enemies very easy to deal with.

Oceanid's sparrow is the most annoying, i have a team of lumine,childe,noelle,chongyun(which are slow to attack and immune to water.) So it makes hard for me in world level 3 (lisa and fischl are low leveled and kaeya too) DAMN!!

@@rune1878 Well, the most important thing is knowing what each artifact slot does/can roll. If you don't know, here's a quick rundown. Flower - Always rolls Flat HP as mainstat Feather - Always rolls Flat ATK as mainstat Timepiece - Can roll HP%, ATK%, Elemental Mastery, DEF%, Energy Recharge% as mainstat Cup - Can roll ANY Elemental Damage% and Physical Damage%, ATK%, HP%, DEF% Crown - Can roll Crit Rate%, Crit Damage%, Elemental Mastery, ATK%, DEF%, HP% Generally, you'll see a lot of youtubers recommend you build certain specific sets and stats that require you to use a combination of units at a time. I disagree with this methodology because it doesn't help people who don't have a lot of units. This is how I recommend building your units because it gives each unit solo capability with plenty of team synergy. (I've cleared ALL Abyss Floor 9 to Floor 12-3 rotations with 36 Stars, so I know what I'm talking about) For damage dealers: (Like Lisa, Geo Traveler, Xiangling) Higher priority is listed first Every piece's Substats - CritRate%, CritDamage%, ATK%, Energy Recharge%, Elemental Mastery (You don't need every single one, just at least 2 of them and make sure they roll into them) Timepiece - ATK% Cup - Corresponding Elemental Damage% (So for Lisa, Electro Damage%) Crown - CritRate% OR CritDamage% (CritRate% if you have less than 40% Crit chance, CritDamage% if you have over 40% Crit chance and don't need any more) This general skeleton build will get you amazing damage on basically any character. Don't worry about getting every single substat on a piece of gear. Just make sure you have at least 2 of the substats you want, then make sure they roll into them.
