Can you rate my introduction At what age should phones be given to the youth? Speech 1 claims that the pre-teen ages are best suited for the presenting of phones. While speech 2 believes that pre-adult ages, such as 16 are better fitted for the handling of a phone. Both speeches do introduce and argue some valid points, but speech one's claim is stronger.
Don't worry too much about this part. You can pass it even without stressing on the essay. The essay only scores 6 points. I was so worried that I didn't even take the test. My teacher finally told me that it literally doesn't matter and I took the test. Still got a 159 with only one point from the essay portion.
Took all 4 tests the 29th and passed everything!! A weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! Thank you for all of your helpful videos! 17 years out of school and scared but I did it!! Anyone can absolutely get their GED! I'm very proud and grateful 🙏
@@valerieansiel4108 any tips on the language essay? I was soooo under pressure I didn’t finish in time and I had to restart everything over even the multiple choice questions😭
@@valerieansiel4108 I finished the multiple choice part of the exam which took 45 min then they give another 45 for the essay but I was so nervous I just had 3 paragraphs 😢 I had 10 seconds left I tried to press done and it just kicked me out 😄
Last week on 06/15/20, I took my GED language arts test but I got below passing score(139). I felt like the exam was so hard for me cuz I was so much pressured by the time and also multiple choice questions were a bit difficult to understand. About the extended part, I got 0 cuz I didn't know where to start and to finish. Even though I believed that I had already shown some good writing skills , I didn't know how to plan. I just started writing without planning. So, I scored 0 and got 139 on multiple choice questions. Then I felt like there was a need to find help. And I decided to watch this video of yours explaining all the process of writing a good essay and how to plan so you may get a good score. I followed your instructions carefully and had to jot them down so I'd be practicing them. And I heard you said that if a person does well on multiple choice questions, they can pass but, it's good to focus too on the extended part cuz it can make a difference. I started practicing and decided to take the GED ready test and scored likely to pass. And guess what? Today 06/23/20 I retook my RLA test and aced it. I passed with 149(146 on multiple choice questions and 3 on the extended part). I followed the focus reading plan and had my essay planned well before I started writing. And by planning, I felt like the extended part was easy when I decided to start writing after planning. So, am here to say thank you so much for your instructions that helped me to ace my GED RLA test sir. Now I just have the math left. Be blessed sir.
@@akterrell3106 i dont really remember the questions but i advice you to take the practice test and when you go and take it answer everything even if you run out of time just guess the rest of the questions you couldnt do it wasnt a hard test i think science was harder, but if you already pass math and the rest im more then sure you'll pass social studies good luck youll do good.
I really appreciate how encouraging and supportive all the past GED test takers and those who are congratulating people in the comments it's really inspiring☺️
right here !! 2020 I started the classes on March, but due to covid-19 they stop the classes. last week I took the ged ready and I got 136 ,I know I failed on the essay section. that's why I'm here watching this great video and study on my own.
I was taught... 1.) Introduction: Make it Interesting and persuasive. 2.) State the 2 claims. Tell whose is better supported. 3.)Why? Evidence.... Why? Evidence.. 4.)Why is the 2nd passage not well-supported? Good luck, also don't forget to hit TAB when starting a new paragraph on the language tabe test!!
Thank you sooo much this was my last test and I was so nervous about taking it because of the Extended Response turns out I scored higher than I ever expected with a 154
Thank you sir. I passed my RLA test Friday. I only focused on the essay part. How you broke it down & in your example did focusing on the structure more helped. I got a 150 total. All I have is math left and I'll get my GED so I can get s job for law enforcement for corrections.
@@TestPrepChampions I have difficulties in the longer questions for math. I got a 144 on my GED ready math test. In terms of time management and understanding questions that are lengthy with multiple equations to get to one answer, do you have any tips or a video on how to understand questions that are lengthy? One that was difficult was one in regards to square feet & the amount monthly per square feet, something of that nature. I'm solid on just regular equations or slipe intercept form, things of that nature. I'm close but need refinement
@@TheLakeShow Hey my bad for the slow response, I just saw this now. Is it mostly word problems that you're having trouble with? I'll take a look at problems with square feet, etc. and maybe put together a video on it
@@TestPrepChampionsAll good. Yes sir, along with fractions, common denominator, choosing the right point or points on a slope intercept graph, that I can think of. I'm sure I have more but atm, cant think of anything else. I'm pretty sure you have it in the vid or some. I haven't seen the full vid yet. My test, is tmr at 2pm. I like to study two days, 1 day & on the same say before the test so that its fresh in my mind. I got a 144 on the GED ready exam, so I'm close. I hope I pass tmr. Math overall isnt a strong point for me, but I believe I can pass it. Thanks for responding.
@@TheLakeShow You're really close with that 144! I'm really hoping you pass. Coincidentally, I was going to publish a video on word problems today. I gave you a quick shoutout in the vid haha: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NMBq15qQ85g.html You're probably pressed for time right now. I wrote my English GED test today, and I passed with 164🎉 before your videos I had no idea what was going on with the writing but you really helped me pass my GED.🎉🥳❤ I memorised your way of writing the essay and I aced it!
I passed my GED ready test with a 161 & got likely to pass without even doing the essay..I had a feeling it wasn't worth a lot of points. Sure it can make a difference but, I did extremely well on my GED Ready RLA test, in terms of, the multiple choice Questions. My Test is tmr than after I pass I'll just have math & I'm good. Only doing this, to be able to qualify for becoming a correctional officer. Good concise vid & good nuance as well sir. Thank you.
Hey my name is Mike I'm trying get ready to take my GED am having a hard time with understand when I read what is the best way to understand word without taking to long to read words
@@jeremiahjones5570 Hi Mike, thanks for your question! I'm actually planning to make a whole series of videos on how to do this very shortly. Hopefully as early as next week I'll have at least one video out on this topic.
Thank you for your help! I passed my RLA test today, because of your videos ❤❤❤❤Thank you soooo much!!! Your videos give me tons of help! It’s really useful!
Passed the RLA test Tuesday! First of 4 and at 42 yrs old! Definitely gave me tons of confidence and motivation. Love your videos and thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you very much for your videos. They are very informative and a must watch for anyone taking the GED. I must admit, the GED essay was the first essay I ever wrote and because of your formula i aced it!
I'm really happy to hear that you aced your essay and that my videos have been helpful to you. And thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate your feedback!
Hi, I just subscrided to your channel. I liked your strategies and the way you explain. If you could please do another video of 3 and 4th paragraph of reasons. Im a visual learner so I have to see in order to understand
Hi, thank you for subscribing and for your comment! I just made a new video that covers this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KTakLdy9kkw.html. Hopefully, this helps!
Hey! I’m studying for my GED for the first time and I just want to thank you so much for making videos in a way that is totally digestible and not-boring! It’s very helpful :)
Thank you so much for your videos ,for the last week or so I watched so many of your videos and today I did my RLA test and passed with a 160 score 😊 .I followed your tips on reading and comprehension and also when doing the Essay and with that for me that didn’t went to elementary school or High School in the US I think this test was a piece of cake Thank you again!!!!!😊
I had to drop out of high school due to a crisis but i remember learning how to do this so this is a great refresher. Thanks. I'm going to take the GED for the first time this month
I wish I can help explain why this wont reach all the listeners but it seems more like your reading a plan a script than actually thinking how to leave the least confusion but helping in a fast past too for faster learners
Wow I'm so nerves about mines omg Update : I literally went in to take my test Monday morning with a negative attitude thinking I was going to fail 😣 and 10 mins after I've completed the test my results came back " passes " with 153 score ‼️‼️‼️🤞🏿 anything is possible just be positive
Jesus Christ I am soooooooooooo mega nervous I am freaking out i take the language arts test on the 2nd so there is about 3 more weeks to go I haven't layed my eyes on a book or a test since high school when I left so omgoodness!!!!!!!
This has been so so so so helpful brother. Thank you!!! I finished high school in Nigeria 22 years ago and have lost touch with the educational system, now I want to start from scratch in America and this clip has worked magic in my brain… Now let’s hope I ace this test tomorrow 02/22/22. Amen!!! Thank you very much brother.
And someone was taking the GED test please don't listen to that the essay makes up a big portion and if you want to go to college after work you need to score high on your essay part because you're going to have to take a college Atria exam
Hi, thank you for watching. While I encourage test-takers to take the essay seriously, as it can help your score if you do well, it is true that you can still pass RLA with a 0 on the essay if you do really well on the multiple choice. Now, if you want to get a really high score, such as a college ready score, then doing well on the essay is very important. According to the GED Testing Service, the essay makes up about 20% of your score, vs the multiple choice section, which makes up about 80%. So while the essay makes up a significant portion of your score, the multiple choice is worth a lot more.
Hi i took the test twice already and i got 136.137 and i did everything now and i got 0.6 i need help i have a last test on friday then i can't take it again for 2 months
Hi, I talk about the body paragraph a lot more in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KTakLdy9kkw.html.That part starts at about 9 mins in.
Please do another video using the 3 body paragraphs,so we can use it as an example. Also using the text and showing us how to use the evidence etc from the passage's.
For example if you take the test , if dont pass , you can take it again , and know what the test is , and study next time on what you didnt know , You should be able to pass it. Problem is their is a lot of trick questions and time is a factor.
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! They helped me to pass my GED Language Arts test a few days ago with a college ready plus a credit score. You are a blessing. Thanks again!
Took my language arts test 3 years ago failed got a 134 took it again last weekend failed but was not bummed got a 144 taking it again this weekend. Fingers crossed I pass.. this video was very helpful.. all I can say to others that are in my situation just keep studying and dont give up.. good luck to everyone.
Really helped out with breaking down RLA Language Arts extended essay on GED test. Taking my test next week, and praying very hard so I don’t retake it again. Move on to math and Social Studies, so I can be done before summer break. Really on time crunch to get myself into Law Enforcement academy be better officer and or Correction.
Thank you for this video. I've been stressed over the extended response and come to find out not that important. Multiple choice is what I need to focus on. I still will do my best.
I have watched your video twice.During my first and second test,I got 138 marks and 144 marks in just reading. Answered in December 2019 and February 2020. No improvements in writing. What should I do? I am from Myanmar.
I'm taking my test august 3rd wish me luck and my next test is august 10th for social studies I really hope I pass because I wanna go to the army plus I get the test for free because I live in nyc
I'm from Thailand and my English skill is not that good, I already passed math and Social and I am going to have this test next week. this video helped me a lot. Thank you so much :)
Diana B I got 170 for math section which I think is not that difficult. Mostly there were a lot of basic equations, math problems. You might need to remember how to find slope, distance of the graph However, the hardest part for me was function 😂 eg. They might show you 4 pictures of the graph and ask you like what is function? Anyway I recommended ged flash (you can purchase it in official website) it was so helpful like omg ps. Ged math is so much easier than Sat math 😆Wish you all the best!
I had been watching your videos for a while. Tomorrow I have my test .I am so nervous about how to do my essay. This video it had helped me a lot thank you so much, God blessed you!
I found this video 2 weeks ago and trust me I’m sending everyone I know doing their GED over here… I passed my Language exam today September 27, 2024 and your videos definitely helped me 💯💯 I cannot thank you enough.. You are amazing, God bless you🎉🙏
I want some stories to why so many people take the GED instead of getting their high school diploma. I was a bad kid in high school trying to act cool and I could never learn or understand anything which was horrible because I'd come to school ready.. ready this year, ready to pass this semester then I lose time in class because i was tardy for taking a restroom break and I'd get a referral and get iss. I admit I'm not perfect I do use to hang with my friends in the hall or walk my girl to class. I miss it all now, your parents really mean it when they tell you, so dont give up go back to school if you can.
Thank you SO SO SO SOOOOOO much for this video! 🤩🤩 This vid REALLY helped my a lot!! I got 6 out of 6 for my final Essay assessment!! OMW!! I am so grateful and thankful, thx and MILLION 💫💫 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! ~LILY
Literally all your video s i watch. It's explained so fast that i could barely grab anything. I don't know if it's from the setting s of he video though. No harm if you don't mind. This is my first time writing this and i need to pass it badly to get into college soon. Thank you.
I have my language arts test tomorrow, just watched this and some other la vids from you, this is my final test. The math, science, and social studies stuff I also learned off of Test Prep Champions. I highly suggest watching these videos if you're aiming to complete your GED! It is highly worth it and much easier than just going to normal schools! Anyways, as of writing this, my language arts test is tomorrow and that will hopefully mark the completion of my GED as a whole, wish me luck! And thank you, Test Prep Champions for making it easy to understand and comprehend to study for thest tests!
I just wanted to say thank you sir. I'm typing this quick so excuse my grammar and punctuation. I've been studying for a whole week and thought I had no chance with the essay. I thought I should find help last minute and came across your video. It felt like my brain opened up with new things that I would have never thought about. I watched your videos on the multiple choice questions and ended getting them all right while going through the video. On test day, I felt confident that I would pass this test. Next thing you know, my anxiety starts to kick in. I started looking at the time and panicking. Went by the 15 questions in part 1 in a rush at the end with no time to review. Part 2 is the essay. I tried your strategy by managing my time for planning, writing and reviewing. I ended up planning for 20 minutes or more and writing with some time to spare. Sadly I couldn't review. I felt like I didn't do well on the essay but I used all the skills ive learned from you when it comes to finding out strong and weak arguments regarding facts, data and opinions. My time management for test is my weakness and that is something I regret not working on when I was home. I had an hour to complete the 35 multiple choice questions. I found myself taking like 10 minutes on ONE question because I hesitated. The moment I saw that 10 + minutes passed while I was 2/32, my anxiety kicked in. It was worse than before. I skipped passages to check what I had left and the large passages made me panic. I ended up skipping through most of the passages and finding what fits best with the questions. I focused a lot more on the correcting sentences at the end of the test because I knew I would be able to get those out the way easily. When I had 10 minutes left, I noticed that I wasn't done with 25 questions. At that point, I felt like it was over. I just went again and skipped through passages the best I can for the best answer. As time went closer to 0, I guessed on 15 passages. When I finished the test, I felt like it was over. That was the only test I needed to pass my GED. I was getting ready to go home and waited for the results. The next thing you know, I see "Pass". I was confused and didn't understand. I felt like there had to be a miracle. I clicked on it and see that I got a 150. I checked what I got on the essay and see 1/2 for 3 things. I got a 3/6 on the essay. I'm not sure how much that adds to my score but I'm sure that's around 10% of my test. If I never saw your video last minute, I don't think I would be passing this test with the problems I had. The essay saved me. You gave me something I can look forward to in life and all it took was your teaching. I thank you again.
Wow thank you for sharing your experience! It's incredible that you had 25 questions left with only 10 minutes left. Fantastic job sticking with it under the stress of the time pressure. I really appreciate you watching and sharing the full story of your experience. I'm wishing you the best of luck with whatever is coming next for you!
Hey question the 2019 tasc test is the 4 main subjects Rla Math Science Social studies And I know the rla is the reading and writing.so basicly my question is if I took the reading portion already when I take the writing test, will I still have 50 multiple choice questions with the writing?. Thanks
The TASC Reading Literacy and Writing are two separate sections (unlike on the GED where you do this all together). So even though you did the reading already, you’ll still have multiple choice/short answer questions with the writing. For the writing, you’ll have an hour to answer a mix of 52 multiple choice and short answer questions and then 45 minutes to write an essay.
