I received a perfect score today on my essay for RLA and ended up with a 171 total. I was extremely happy when I looked at the breakdown.

@@TestPrepChampions For RLA? Spend time reading everything and anything. For me, I play a ton of tabletop games that require immense reading comprehension. In addition to that, I love reading books and/or listening to audio books in general. It kind of came natural to me. Plus the argument I was presented with on the essay was something I am passionate about. It was really easy to dig in and write some very detailed and well thought out paragraphs. fortunately, the person I agreed with had the most supporting data. So I got to paint the other guy's article like a hit piece. It was quite beautiful. :)

Jus wanted to say a big thank u I took my ged language arts test yesterday and I pass I watched and screenshot many of ur video content. Somehow I don’t feel very excited about my pass score I studied a lot and I studied hard I was expecting a higher score I failed the responsive writing which I was aiming for a perfect score. I was thinking to rewrite that subject but my teacher advice me not to look back jus look ahead and keep going so I wil take her advice. I wanted a score that wil b collage ready at the least. Anyway I’m going to focus on my science and social studies now then after completing those two exams I wil do maths last. Hope I can stil get into collage wit a lower than collage ready score

You can still get into most colleges without a college ready score, as long as you pass, so you should be okay depending on where you want to go. Thanks for the breakdown much appreciated. My friend is helping me make essay’s (I did it before watching this video) I felt like my essay was very unorganized with punctuation & structure but also with adding too much sited evidence. That was just some takeaways I got from your video but also a question for you, when I add evidence in my essay does it have to be sited? I noticed that the essay (in the video) didn’t have much sited evidence but they referred back to the arguments at times.

You will get it next time watch the video over an over again it will stick to you the more you watch it the more it will make sense to you then take a brake prefer one day to allow the brain to process what you learn then go back to your studies and videos it will make mor sense.

@@diyitall2023 yes i passed with college readiness. its super easy you will get about 2-3 easy articles/stories you'll have to read and answer questions on. You will get at least one story that will be written in old English they do this to see how well your comprehension is. there is 3 parts i believe each is about 30 mins to an hour and the essay part is 45 mins. im horrible at writting essays, i always have been. Some how i managed to finish the essay in about 35 mins. Its easy just be positive and the only thing you need to focus on is writting a good long enough essay because you can do bad on the multiple answers part but if you do good on the essay you'll pass

@@diyitall2023 As a general rule of thumb, you have to get about half of the multiple choice questions right to pass if you do bad on the essay. If you do really well on the essay, then you don't have to do as well on the multiple-choice. But try to do really well on both and you should be in good shape. Good luck!

Hi, thank you for watching and for your comment. I know that having dyslexia and ADHD can certainly bring about difficulties in learning that can make it a lot harder to pass the GED. I've heard from people before who have had both of. those conditions who have succeeded with the GED, so it can be done for sure. While I empathize with the struggles these students go through, unfortunately, I don't have any training that I feel would qualify me to give specific advice to students with these backgrounds.

That's a good thing. If you do really well with the essay, then you don't have to get as many right on the multiple choice to pass.

I could not convince myself to write something about the speed of the video. Otherwise I would have had spent at least 10 minutes more for the video. This video could be long as up to 35 minutes in my opinion.
