Typically however long it takes me to clean out the boat. So about 10mins. I do wipe down the back of the swim platform, because that is always somewhat wet.
Great Video. I have to install my cover from one side of a floating dock. It is a major PIA. Great cover and worth the effort but considering doing the cockpit and front snap cover for the summer months. 242 LS.
Awesome Jay, thanks! Trying to remove and install the cover on the 252SE has been a challenge for me. I appreciate the idea of folding over the stern sections to center when removing! Thanks again! Cheers!
@omarrodriguez648 just thr part of me me crawling under the windshield. I sure you can figure out how to do that on your own. There's not really enough enough room for me and a cameraman at the same time.
Thank you. That's a tough one. If you're slipping you boat, you might want to consider a snap on cover. I've seen ones that snap right above the lower swim platform, giving you a place to stand while putting it on.
great video simple stuff that guys get confused about or do it wrong. Is there a cover that will cover the tower too to help with snow in the winter? Do you store your boat outside in the winter? I may have to with mine, just to keep the shop space for working. Do you trailer with that cover on?
I am not aware of a cover that will go over the tower as well. I store mine indoors for the winter. Indoor cold storage. Yes, I trailer with the cover on.
Usually in the late afternoon it gets windy. If you try to put the cover on when it's windy, and you're by yourself, it's a PIA. (especially of you waxed your boat recently) I open up the cleat covers in the front, and install small 6" bungees to keep the front on while I install the rear. Helps a lot. I install my cover just as you demonstrated. Did your cover come with 3 poles? Mine did, but I don't use it.
