How to edit a UDIO song with RipX and Cubase...bringing back our grunge heroes!

In this video we will share how to create a song in UDIO, how to separate its stems with RipX, finally re arranging the UDIO song in Cubase, also recording our own guitar and bass tracks! In this process I have also created a pretty cool Grunge song, bringing back my grunge vocal hero!

I have mixed feeling about all this. I actually quite liked the song the AI produced, but it did come across a bit sterile. I'll be interested to see how you use these tools in your music creation. Style-wise, I really liked that song and I'm more of an 80's style guy and did not like grunge. It had a kind of Creed-like vibe to my ears. Great video as always Leo. God bless and rock on 👍😎🎸

yes, I think I know what you mean....and I have mixed feeling too...To me, the most creative way to use AI tool is something like Synthesiser V....I mean the possibility to use our own melodies, words and music....and to use voices, or instrument more in genera, like all the other virtual instruments... Thank you!!!

I wonder how far these tools can go. They'll continue to improve for sure. Right now though I haven't heard anything that doesn't sound boring or soul-less and vacant, sort of elevator music but with wider instrumentation range.

I think that they will really go far...improving and improving! So far, in my opinion I found SUNO tracks boring, but UDIO songs are much better, at least for grunge....what stands out are the vocals....that are amazing...in my opinion!

Hi Leo, I hope you are well. Fractal just released a badass update on the fm3. It seems to me that the latency has improved with the Cygnus X3 new amp models. I would not mind having your opinion about this. Best wishes!

puo' creare, anzi in me crea due sensazioni , devo andare giu' "duro" perche' non trovo alternative: 1) mi sembra di diventare delle scimmie (con tutto rispetto per le scimmie) di un software che fa le cose per noi. Tristissimo. Poi dopo stop ai lamenti (muti) che la musica non e' una professione. 2) mi fa perdere l' interesse (parlando in generale) , MA DAVVERO, verso un' artista di cui posso cominciare a dubitare che le sue canzoni/arrangiamenti possano essere generate dall' utilizzo AI e non da lui. E' come cheatare in un videogame. Ripeto.. dopo tutti muti eh. =) Ita.. estero.. muti. =) Sono le sirene di Ulisse... e ho detto tutto. Affascinanti.. ma riporto ai punti 1) e 2)

Capisco...temo tuttavia sia il futuro e ci tengo nel mio canale a condividere le ultime evoluzioni tecnologiche, che possono piacere o non piacere...ma volenti o nolenti ci sono. In futuro la "creazione musicale" rischia di essere "rimpiazzata" da questi strumenti...secondo me l'alternativa che abbiamo è nel ricercare la nostra voce originale e unica...io credo che le mie canzoni siano riconoscibili grazie allo "stile" che le caratterizza...che richiederebbe una A.I. cui sia stato fatto il training sui miei brani...cosa alquanto improbabile che accada. Grazie del commento.

@@LeoGibsonGtrah la strada è già tracciata...purtroppo. Il problema è che software come questi sono differenti da altri tipo dreamtonics...per fare un esempio. Il secondo richiede l'inserimento di note da parte propria, parole etc etc..intenzioni..di fatto è un synth e lo devi pilotare con vera creatività. Sw come Udio invece sono e saranno appiattenti, sia come qualità ma soprattutto per l'interesse che la gente avrà nei confronti degli altri

Si concordo! Io adoro Syntesizer V proprio per quello che dici tu....ti consente di creare le tue linee melodiche ed il tuo testo ... Sicuramente SUNO e AUDIO avranno un effetto "appiattitura"...nel senso che tutti potranno creare musica da zero...poi appunto, noi "veri" musicisti....dovremo cercare di essere più originali possibile per "allontanarci" dall'A.I. ...
