Great lesson. You made it very simple to understand. I took some screen shots of the shapes. I know the first 2 pentatonic shapes and constantly noodle them, but I am still memorizing the other 3. Being able to see those chord shapes inside of them is very helpful. I can thumb over on my strat pretty good. Not quite as easy on my Les Paul but it does have the modern A symmetrical neck so it's not a baseball bat neck at least.
