I had the same issue, till i saw there is a search bar at the top! search content, and the options come right up! 1. use search bar and type content 2. click "Site Settings" 3. I had to adjust the default mic{that's what was wrong with my mic) 4. worst case scenario, manually add the website you're trying to pair All of these worked for me. Recent updates for Chrome must have changed the process. You know how it goes lol. Did these steps help? ♥
Amazing when you design a web browser to make everything so difficult to navigate. Then you constantly update the software changing and deleting the users settings without their permission. That is google for you.
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank thank you Thank you sooooooooo much dear sir. I can solve my problem after suffering many days. No trick was working, before seeing you video.
Thanks for making this video it really help me I kept pushing cancel on my microphone and I met allow but I really appreciate you making this video hope you get more people into your video thanks and God bless
What about Google Chrome on Android? When I press the microphone icon in the search bar it opens a page which faintly shows 'Waiting...' and is light blue at the top of the screen and has an X in the top right - the page closes after a few seconds and returns to the search screen.
Elizabeth McMoCormick... It didn't work for me either, so I played around with the other options on that particular screen. So when you select microphone and make default change, then click on what is underneath the word "block". For example, facebook website. Change to "Allow" to access microphone on facebook call and/or video. I hope you understand what I am trying to explain
Your teaching is very good slow and steady. I tried all you have told, but yet the google search by voice does not work. It has being working until 2 days ago. My laptop is connected with a HDMI cable to the TV. Any other help you can give please?
oogle search by voice did not respond. In addition to your teaching, I found another crucial part of getting back the Google search by voice following 'MS How to set up and test microphones in Windows.' On my laptop Start> setting > system> sound > input devices > under Microphone subheading press the tab so you can see Disable. It means I made the Microphone Enable. After this it solved the problem of Google search by voice .
For those watching in 2024, after you navigate to settings, navigate as follows: Privacy and Security (left hand side) -> **Site** Settings (bottom of page, changed from 'Content') From there you can access every device/fix from there.
This is not my issue. The site has permission to use it, the microphone works, I can use it on other apps, yet the browser just still can't pick up any sound. This has happened to me on two separate computers.
I have tried everything google voice search is still not working and saying my microphone is off. My mic is on, on every site except google chrome on my computer.
I am using a Dell laptop and the AKG headphones with microphone that came with my Samsung s9. They work just fine (for WhatsApp). My internet speed is in excess of 150 Mb/sec, so i am confident that connectivity is not the issue. Outgoing calls cannot hear me (I can hear them quite clearly), and when I follow your suggestions, only RealTek audio is available to choose. No other. I am not sure how to solve the issue. Ideas?
Irrelevant to the question but if you need to join a meeting now with your mic enabled, you can also use Internet Explorer/Edge/Firefox/any-other-browser. Just leaving that as a tip (y)
This did not resolve my problem unfortunately. Cannot get the internal microphone to work sounds very low and muffled. Need it for my son to work in google classroom. Appreciate any help
how in the hell can you use voice search in Chrome? I can go to Google and there's a microphone icon but if you're not on the google page, there is no mic shown in or near the chrome address bar.
Can you help with this? Error: Microphone access is blocked. Click here for instructions to enable access Voice In Type. There is no "content settings" under privacy and security on my Chrome browser which is the current one. 80.0.3987.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)
If you are on the website that you want to use you can click on the padlock (in the top left of the site URL) and you might see blocked which you can change to allow. Or click on site settings and then click on microphone (allow). Its just another way of getting to that same spot as shown in the video above.
are you using a chrome book not a school one because when i try clicking advanced it look different please respond please help i need this for school HELP!
What if the volume displayed on my audio interface is -6 dB but the signal on Chrome website is very very poor (-45 dB)? It happens only with Chrome because on every other software (GarageBand and Audacity) is ok.
Sir other person can't hear me in video call but can hear me in audio call I already seek app permissiona to microphone and also done factory reset What will I do now
Using an HP chromebook 11 which was working fine until the other day when the Google Chrome operating system updated to ver 81 and then the microphone started playing up. I have tried changing the microphone settings for the web site deleting & resetting but no change. I think the operating system change has done something to the mic.
unfortunately it does not work for me. in android you have a lot of alternatives to dictate writing or text to speech in office programs or the other reader programs, problem is in windows to dictate writing is very difficult and only is allowed in google documents but does not work.
Hi there 😀 have you solved your problem? I have the same problem..everything works in settings but on google meet, loom...it doesnt work 😭 anyways, I would be grateful if you reply
@@MDTechVideos Honestly I really don't know what the problem is, I've used external mics and built in mics, nothing works. It's like my computer blocks them, but I've looked under microphones and what not and it doesn't say anywhere that it's blocked.
@@anastarcevic2889 Well, I go on discord calls on my phone, and zoom calls on a different computer. Unfortunately my computer just blocks out mics and I can't fix it.
great vid, cant paypal you unless you can help me, my speak on my hp 15 labtop only works when i have headphones plugged in, when i use google voice? please help thanks
A tad bit late here but here's for the new layout if you ever need to change it. Go to Settings once there on the left side panel Click Privacy and Security after that Once there click site settings after that scroll down and click Microphone and change to whatever Mic you're using. Settings -> Privacy and Security -> site settings -> Microphone.
