i was literally in the middle of a game and my mic just stopped . it still works because it pics up sound when turning mic on and off and when troubleshooting... but yet doing a test doesnt pick up sound and i cant change the mic level in properties its stuck on zero???? any ideas pleassee

Hello. I tried method 2 and intalled a driver, however the driver showing up on me was different so i downloaded a different one than yours. But after that my microphone disappeared from devices :(

Still doesnt work. Ive updated and reinstalled the drivers. I bought a new mic and still nothing. The PC says the mic is in use but wont detect any audio input. Ive done EVERYTHING, checked the levels, mic privacy settings EVERYTHING. Why wont it work? It started right after using sleep mode. Dell XPS 8940, what a piece of crap!!!! Someone please help me I cant talk to my teammates.

@@MrExdous69 yes. When i plug in the headset it pops up a dialog box asking what kind of headset they are, headphones, earbuds or headset, overear, on ear? I had headphones selected instead of headset.

@@MrExdous69 What happened to me was, I had checked the little box that says "Dont show this again" after making my headset selection, since I had selected the wrong set option I was stuck with the headphones with no mic option and couldnt get the dialog box to reappear when I unplugged the headset and plugged it back in. Reinstalling Windows reset that and I was able to make the correction. Maybe I just needed to locate the file and manually open it but I didnt think of that till after I reinstalled Win10. Mine is called WaveMaxx Audio.

oh. my. god. you saved me. twice! i fixed the issue by updating the driver on my old pc and now on my new one...this was literally THE ONLY SOURCE i found with suggestion to update driver to high definition audio and it worked(otherwise the sound was VERY quiet with all settings maxed)

On the microphone properties I tried to hear my self but all I hear is static I dont get it I hear everything just fine when watching videos and playing games my headphone's cables are secure so why cant my computer and discord pick up any sound. Can you help?

Alr i don't know if this will work for others but im on windows 11 and when you got to privacy then microphone then scroll down there is a off and on mode where desktop apps access your microphone you need it enable so on and it should work

Mine is finally working after I went to properties (as shown from 2:45) and changed the playback device away from "Default Playback Device." It'd been over a year since I got it working on my desktop!

nothing worked, your voice appears on stream labs but it doesn't get non youtube stuff like my voice or stuff in the background, the stream labs settings are solid i wished this helped, i got this headset this month it cant be broken so easily, it worked perfectly blasting and working then yesterday it stopped doing its job and its blasting volume even at max is weak
