Hi, thanks for the tutorial! This Virtru app looks simpler to use than PGP/GPG. Some clarifications, please, before going deeper. Is Virtru an add-on for just about any web brwoser out there, like Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.? I understand Virtru works with web mail services such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Hotmail, but since it's a browser add-on, do the recipients have to be using one of those web mail accounts, or will any other email service of their choice be fine? Do the recipients need a Virtru accunt of their own to read encrypted messages sent to them? I think answers to these questions are more basic than how to use the app. Thanks again :)
Hi great questions. I overlooked it in the tutorial video. When you look on the faq here: www.virtru.com/faq/which-platforms-are-supported-by-virtru/ you'll see a lovely chart at the bottom outlining all the different platforms supported. The Add on is needed to send email with virtru. However receiving works everywhere. Hope that answers your question :-)
Thank you for your reply :) Yes, I think that's a very clearly depicted, helpful chart. Your video will probably be even more helpful if you include the above information in your video description (and in future revisions).
