Its very possible that they slapped this on a previous edit timeline and didnt check. Or the footage got corrupted with other data in the camera storage. Either way they should've penned through it at least once to catch this stuff
The scene in the desert is not Dodd being genuinely paranoid... he's being theatrical on purpose to build his own mythology with his ridiculous "western" costume and pre-tense of burying his work. This is similar to some of L. Ron Hubbard's mythos that he created about himself.
great channel. maybe in next episodes you could sometimes add stills to illustrate discussed scene / person / actor? especially if you’re talking about movies from years ago it sometimes hard to recall visuals on your own (mind)
How are we on such the same wavelength. Watched Midnight Mass about 4 months ago, it was amazing. Along with a bunch of the other items that were brought up.
I really liked Inherent Vice. Most movies don’t hold up to to it upon restrospect. I read the book and the movie was faithful to confused nostalgic tone of it. It’s misunderstood to me but it has so many good components. Phantom Thread was beautiful to look at but so obvious in its themes that it really lost my interest. LP is probably closest to my heart but I think Magnolia is his masterpiece. Either way, most people dislike his movies (take a look at his box office numbers) but he’s undeniably a master craftsman even if you hate his storytelling which is maybe his weakest skill.

I really hope She-Hulk does get its justice as Tatiana Maslany is such a top tier actress. When she did her role(s) for Orphan Black, It was one of the top performances I have ever seen from a character on TV
The really interesting thing about that time was that psychology was no better, or even worse. Someone with actual authority prescribing a lobotomy for example.
The Master has always been a bit too enigmatic for me. Which is something I normally love, but it’s not a particularly satisfying experience. Much prefer Phantom Thread and There Will Be Blood.
there I am again, checking if there is a new video, seriously worried about the lives of our beloved critics. what happened? are you trapped in your houses because of scientology goons at your front doors?
