You’re awesome. I have an all In one Toshiba that I got from a pawn shop. I’ve been trying for months to figure out how to reset back to factory for month due to weather knocking out my power causing this issue and you explained this in a few minutes. Thank You.
I have been following you shortly after you started your cabin build. I have followed you through the trials of losing your mother and dealing with your wife's cancer. I admire you for your strength and faith. I was surprised to see this 7 year old video show up in my recommended videos. At first, I was like huh ???? He did a video on recovering a computer? Then I remembered that I had an old Toshiba laptop that had basically become non-functional many years ago. I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try. Low and behold, it worked !!! I now have an essentially new laptop with Windows 7 on it. Too bad I didn't see this video before I recently went out and spent $500 on a new computer after my old Dell died. Anyway, I thank you for your contribution to society and mankind. Good luck with your cabin build and I hope you and yours stay healthy and strong. God bless my friend.
Yeah mines just really slow and I just wanna play sims 4. Yeah I totally get what you mean with the whole throwing laptop at wall thing because I'm cool. haha I need friends 😖
thank you so much... it worked great!! ** note to people with password set on their laptops... you must remove your password, then completely shut down and then press/hold zero and hit the power button.
Thank-you so much! I went on at least thirty sites with my problem, to no avail. It is restoring now as I type. Hopefully this will fix everything! RESPECT
BOOM! It works - this was on my 3 years old laptop - she hasn't' used it months since getting her Ipad but I went back and found it junked up! Saved the day!
I just watched the video and found out that I will lose all my files. Is there any way to back up my laptop in the state it is in so that I don't loose all my files?
My computer was on the verge of being thrown out until this video. Thank u so much everything worked and it runs smooth like new! It had many viruses and crap on it and it helped a hell of alot. I subed u u da man
I commented on a follower that my laptop was hidden for a couple of years after many many, many attempts unlocking it, all failed. Searched a few videos but nothing helped. I don't understand why I didn't find this before. I was too, on the verge of throwing my laptop away. Waiting on it to restart and hoping it works. Thank you sooo much for your video 😌🙏
Thank you very much! I had a weird problem after trying to upgrade my Linux Mint installation on my Toshiba laptop, the computer would not recognize it's CD Rom or HDD, this got it working again, amazing!
If you do a factory reset your computer will be wiped clean of all files and it will be put back to the way it was when you bought it. So if you do this, you will need to save all of your files on an external hard drive and you'll need to make sure that are able to reinstall your programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Skype, etc.)
Why did i just found your vid this year 😭?i shouldve seen this earlier.. but thank you so much to this.. my netbook is all good now and running smoothly.
For anyone wondering why Toshiba laptops keeps booting up normally or black screen or no bootable device is because you need that one explained in the video the Toshiba Recovery Wizard
Thank you!! It worked on my Toshiba Sattelite from circa 2009. Been meaning to reset it so it can be recycled. Tried other methods suggested online but this method definitely works.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. My father-in-law has passed away and I wanted to delete the data from his 2007 laptop before we send it away for recycling. Your video was easy to follow and I was able to complete the task. Much appreciated.
Thanks so much for this..I was able to use this to actually refresh mine and get rid of the infamous "blue screen of death"..thought it was my RTC battery but this fixed it right up!!
Dude you rock. I watched countless of other videos and I tried every method to solve my none bootable disk on my Toshiba. I had lost all hope as this was my last attempt before I would take a bat to it. I even watch other videos where they tell you to do the same step but they explain to tap the zero. Which didnt work for me. However your sugesstion worked great! Thank you.(subscribed)
Hi, I am trying to get into a locked computer. I can't remember my password. Are you able to tell me how I can fix this? I would do a factory reset, but don't want to wipe my files without transferring them off the computer in case there is something I need.
How long do I have to hold down the 0 key after the beep starts. The beep never stops on my laptop. When I release my finger, the laptop just restarted.
I have a Toshiba satillite L450D and I've tried everything and it even tells me to put in a password to reboot to factory reset. IDK what else to do. Any other suggestions?
Thank you so much! After three years of it not working and 5 people working on it and saying they could not fix it, I followed your instructions and it came on. Still have pictures and music on it. Again.... THANK YOU!
When me and my friends tried this with my toshiba laptop it made a long ass beep but never went to the warning page are we supposed to let it go when the beep starts or hold it half way through? If not then what are doing wrong?
whilst comps off ...holding 0 (zero) on the top row not the number pad then pressing the power button just once sent mine into a limited screen with a windows 7 option and a memory check ........ if you click f8 now it goes into another hidden screen with the top option of repairing device ...after selecting this i found factory reset restore to a as new out of the box state right at the bottom of all these options
You don't have to press '0' while turning on the computer to get into the Toshiba Recovery Wizard. You could also press F8 while the computer is turning on so you have the list of options including last known good config, safe mode but also at the top is 'repair computer', that also will launch the Toshiba Recovery Wizard.
I watched 5 other videos before finding this one. The others just had music no vocal instructions!!!!!!!!!! I held the "0" key heard the long tone was loading files then........black screen UGHH Thank you very much, Joe Kenny
So I'm assuming I had a virus on my computer because I constantly had a heap of popups. I did do the factory restart but i still see these popups on here. Please give me some advice on how to get rid of them. I'm not even able to get on the internet and I have college papers I have to do . :(
Sapphire Tabor That really sucks. Did the pop ups start happening again after you had transferred all your files back onto your laptop? Because sometimes the virus can jump onto a flash drive or external drive only to hop back onto your computer once you've transferred everything back. I know this because it happened to me once. I had to do another factory restart (which was really annoying), but then I did a virus scan on my flash drives before putting the files back on. Sure enough, my virus program found a virus on the flash drive and got rid of it. After everything was clear I was able to put everything back on with no issues.
actually when I factory reset it, the popups completely stopped and the computer is running just as new, thank goodness. I really didn't have any documents that weren't already saved to my gmail acct already so its fine now.
Mine doesn't even bring up anything after pressing 8. It just keeps beeping and once you let go I keeps beeping for a while and just starts windows normally. Any ideas?
I have tried for 3 hours to do this but it will not work. I hold the '0' button and start up as asked. I do not get the "Windows is loading files..." screen with a loading bar across the bottom, it begins to beep on the the windows logo screen, but when I let go or tap then it just starts up like normal to my login page.
Mine put in zeros into password option. Doesn't load anything like you're displaying Edit: found a vid on how to open front n remove keyboard n remove CMOS battery to reset.
