Once you unlock another area. The canolas and pumpkins are worth more.

but how offten do you have to water them? i noticed tomatoes takes two watering so its more work I'd rather have a set and forget farm

@@sirken2 I think more than two for the canolas. So far I’ve had to water three times. 🤔

If plant them in there biome you only need to water them once

@@DaleVieira12 really? I have them in their biome and it took five waterings for the canolas. 🤔 unless the canolas go in a different biome. That’s interesting.

If you plant seeds from the area you buy them they grow faster (ie, plant carrots in the meadow, corn at the beach etc)

Farming is easier with blank rows, either every 3 or 4 (makes it easier to water too). That gives some empty spaces for the bonus items to spawn, and they wont time out or go too far.

Trap your companion in a fenced in area right near where you're gardening. Let him out at the end then he'll drop everything at once while they're blue and you don't have to pick them up 1 by 1.

I keep seeing people mentioning farming, I've had no problem making money I farm but I mine and fish way more and I make a ton that way to I'm almost to 100k but I'm also not spending like crazy either. All the town upgrades I'll do later when I have a nice fortune built up. I am buying the important things and important upgrades though. I also only have 3 more areas to unlock, so you don't just have to farm if you don't want to. Oh also for storage collect softwood and make chests, it will save you a headache and if you're cooking anywhere on the map anything in those chests will also be available to make.

Sounds like you're doing great! The later upgrades and houses get VERY expensive though.

Aw yus I have been making my own little farm up top near the Plaza area but I didn’t even think about bringing along whoever I tasked with being my gardening helper. I get that mixed up with the foraging one 🥴 I definitely need to figure that out and do that next time. Quite possibly will try to figure out the living on the beach situation with the tomatoes 😯🥹 Cause also ya gurl LOVES mi some pasta and pizza yessirrrr 🤪

@@Serroh I have the same issue on xbox, this sucks because it takes so much more time to plant a big field completely. sometimes for 10 second it works, and than not. disappointed, hope they will fix this soon as possible 😕

Switch seeds, then switch back to the one you want to plant and just hold the button down. That's how I do it.

Yeah this is just a blueprint for people to follow. Obviously the late game seeds give more :)

@@tigerlily.9406 no but even though tomatoes give you 3 crops per a plant if you planted 500 of them that's only 33k without a farming buddy. They might give you more but they sell for less. Canola is the best since it's sell for more and takes the least time. Yeah you could sell asparagus or pumpkins and make a bunch of coins but it's take an hour 45 mins for asparagus and 4 hours for pumpkins. In 4 hours you could make way more on canola then you could on pumpkins.
