I love the way he gets newcomers to teach him the piano and showing him, several times, the location of middle C. Slowly he shocks them by gently introducing his real talents in pop and classical music. And he obtained a first-class honors degree in English before a Masters and Doctorate in literature!
Have a look at the empowering work of dmurphy 25, if you study a little & invest in yourself things will certainly change for the better. kind regards one & all
Brendan, you know we all enjoy you playing. Ignore rude and ignorant people that DEMAND and yell.' Little minded people" shout to get attention when they are ignored. Step over them figuratively. You, dear man are loved all over the world. With love from Kingston, Ontario Canada. Play boogie, wooden for us all.
Beautiful music Mr. Kavanaugh. God has blessed you tremendously w/the gift of music. I pray that you will use it for his glory! God bless. Jesus Saves!
I thought this guy was really, really, really, really good... and then I realized I was watching the video at 175% speed. When I slowed it down to the normal speed, I find that he is just really, really, really good.
Brendan, you just made 3 girls VERY happy! What a day for them! They will most likely remember that for a long time! I don't have that gift that you do. I read music to play it. You play it, and THAT is a gift! Love you, friend.
The love of music and the joy of life, filled with humanity and friendship. I Love It! The human spirit still lives! Great video. Watching from America. Thank you!
4:22 ...I keep watching it over and over again that I lost track...the Dr K 😎 start is so Kool...and the expression of the first girl on the left is priceless...😊
6 30 am in Austin Texas love watching Dr K. do his thing. Thank you Dr. K Can't imagine a world without music. Having fun with music is always uplifting for my soul. Have a great day.
Simply marvellous. I am surprised that all those people walking about...... none of them felt like stopping and listening. Sad that there are so few music lovers in this world.
Brendan , you are so creative in several areas ! It is truly a pleasure to observe you weave your magic with passerby travellers regardless of their talent .Keep spreading the joy with Bianca. Tx from Canada.
From Camotes Island Cebu Philippines 🇵🇭🇮🇹 say One moment of silence for these newbies , damn 😂I will enjoy a ton of pleasure, when I see Brendan pretend he won't be able to play the piano, and the other rookies explaining the piano notes to him . Say have a great day my best pianist ever 😎🔝🥇🏆👍 see ya until next interesting video. You make my day better Brendan, massive and incredible thanks for it. Take care God bless you... Peace ✌️
Hi Brendan thanks for many happy times as I sit here and watch you, such a great talent, wish I could play even one tenth as good as youI would be satisfied but my keyboard playing doesn’t even scratch the surface of your talent. I’m 78. Thank you again, p.s. I like the boogie sessions
"Vader Jacob" is a Dutch nursery rhyme that every Dutchman (or in this case: girl) knows. Originally it was a French song called Frère Jacques, by Jean-Philippe Rameau The original lyrics in French: Frère Jacques Frère Jacques Dormez vous? Dormez vous? Sonnez les matines Sonnez les matines Ding ding dong Ding ding dong Which would translate into english as: Are you sleeping Are you sleeping? Brother John Brother John? Morning bells are ringing Morning bells are ringing Ding ding dong Ding ding dong
I love waking up to this. You surely love to tease and prank those who do not recognize you at the keyboard. Reading sheet music was not a problem for me but playing by ear has never been a strong point. Many years since I have played. Mostly programming my synth these days 🙂
Enjoyed this so much, Brendan! I grew up with old time musicians at the house every Saturday night playing Irish / Candian fiddle tunes accompanied by guitar and piano (I played piano). None of us read music. I can read one note at at time and have to memorize as I go but could never sight read. Nice to see someone else whose brain works the same way! An old music teacher used to mock us saying does it hurt playing by ear? I always reminded him that if everyone only played reading music, there would be no music :)
Sitting here with a big grin on my mush watching this...there was/is a little cafe in Frome, Somerset that is about as big as most people's dining rooms...just enough space for maybe four tables and a piano....a boogie woogie piano....you are very lucky to get a seat, people generally don't leave when the piano is being played....the windows are steamed up...it is riotous inside...from out on the pavement people look through the windows running with condensation at the spectacle inside....like a private little party fuelled by coffee and boogie woogie fever.....it is totally awesome...
Brendan you are such a good sport! I remember that Fraire Jaques was the first foreign song we ever learned in school. And yes we learned it it swedish first. :)
When I was a teen, I worked on a dairy farm owned by a dutch family. 1 boy, 4 girls, all blond, blue eyes, 1 2 yrs younger, 1 1 yr younger 1 my age and 1 2 years older.....it was heaven lolol
I love your music "pieces", you are "crazy" in a good sense of the word. You're doing a really good job by encouraging others to play the piano. I don't play any instrument myself, although I would like to, but I love music in almost every sound and on every instrument. It's amazing how you can enrich music with additional sounds. You are very talented, whether it's a gift from God or years of fertile and painstaking work, it doesn't matter, what matters is that you can, you can and people love you for it. I realize that these movies are "directed, staged", but they are still very pleasant to watch and especially listen to. Keep encouraging the youth and others to play music, thank you very much, I will watch your footage more than once in my life. Great job, sometimes "crazy" :), Józef from Poland
Brendan, I watch your videos and I like when you approach someone and make them believe you don`t know the song and then ask them on how to play it,,,very sneaky...then you surprise them and start playing it. You should have your own TV show Keep making those videos, you have tons of fans out there.
Thanks for this tutorial video, Brendan. As usual, you are awesome an can attract many people to join. After watching this video for hours and practicing for days, now I can play what the girl did. Peace.... 🤗🤗🤗
Hello Brendan... it is very gratifying to see you teach young people the rhytms that can be found in any melody, Seeing their faces of amazing makes my happy. A hug, master,,,!!!
