11:27 Exposure to lead? My understanding is that the lead in a .22 cartidge is only in the bullet. The charges for a ramset don't have a bullet. Is there lead in the gun powder?
Haven’t used the split drive but look similar to dewalts Spike. And absolutely love Titens such good holding power and easier than wedge anchors. Engineers love them
Put the non load bearing walls up after sheeting ceilings. Youre gonna be sheeting ceilings inside closets etc , that is neither enjoyable or cost efficient.
No steel cuts?? We only use the Ramset .27 for shooting wood to steel these days. Find the hardened steel cut, hand drive nails faster and less fussy when fastening pars to basement slab. We rarely have load bearing walls on slabs here in Michigan. Theyre usually sitting on basement walls with straps or embedded bolts. Easy peasey.
The Titan screw is a great idea. Always hated the pigtail machinations. I have a Hilti powder actuated nailer (DX2?) that has been rebuilt 3-4 times. Probably has several hundred thousand nails through it. 👍
I am a Simpson TITEN convert for Residential Housing, sheds, carports, barns..... not so much for other applicants (give me embedments). To many people take liberty installing the screws, READ & FOLLOW THE fu¢¥£ng SIMPSON directions and follow the approved plans. Since ~1982 I have had a Hilti DX-35 (25cal) just like Rachel displays. Tall Cotton! Compared to the 22cal Remington. 25cal never fails. I will say it's safer than the strip - you slow down and have to be situationally aware. LSS In 10th grade (1970's) a girl classmate was wiping the mirror at her job at the BK in the mall. On the other side was a head shop, where somebody was putting up shelves. They thought it would be a great idea to fasten the shelf bracket with a power driven fastener. Well through the wall, the mirror and several inches in to her head lands a 3½" nail. She is alive but it has been a very long road and she very handicapped {think IED recovery}. Keep it under lock and key and the loads separate. As soon as you see someone on the JS playing how much stuff can I blast through =} Un-employ them.
This is pretty useful to learn about. I'm going to have to mix concrete and wood to make my home seem more normal from the inside, so while I'm surrounded by cement, I'm going to make a bunch of wooden walls and floors. Etc. I appreciate all the help I can get.
I didn’t realize you had to attach a double bottom plate. You just took so much stress off of me on this Christmas morning! I’m so relieved I can fix my problem. Thank you so much! I enjoy your content!! Keep them coming and Merry Christmas to you guys!
The video of you installing the wedge anchor with the white camo shirt on was the first video I ever saw of Awesome Framers! I’ve been subscribed ever since! 😎
Thanks. I gotta say out of all the building people I subscribe to on RU-vid, you are the only one who actually responds to comments. Thank you so much it means a lot
@@Jminenna I try to, but a lot get past me. Its actually really difficult to respond because I don't get notifications for most. Not sure why. Thanks for the support!
